Music quiz question help

Post by Real Al »

I'm doing one of those 20 questions things, and we've narrowed it down (badly), but have used up our 20 questions. So, now we just have a final guess.

It's a song by a British rock group of either 2 or 3 members, at least one of whom is now dead. They were active in the 70s or 80s, but they're not punk or electronic. They name doesn't include members' names (e.g. Emerson, Lake and Palmer) and the song we're trying to get is an upbeat number with less than 3 words in the title (which is part of the chorus). It's been in the top 10 in either UK or US, but was not a UK no. 1.

Totally out of ideas

And they're all still alive. Apart from that it was a great guess.

T REX : 20th Century Boy ?
Think it got in top 10 but not number one with lead singer Marc Bolan who was killed in car accident.

In 1977, which rules out active in the 80's. Nearly as bad as my guess.

Motörhead - Ace of Spades?

Not sure how it did in the charts, but it ticks the other boxes.

The embarrassing answer has been revealed - Your Love by The Outfield.

No, me neither.

Apparently it was a big hit in the States and because they were British the guy who set the question (an American), thought we'd all know them.

Bah!

When did Peter Gabriel die, tuffers?

Blimey: The Outfield was a bit of an obscure one for the answer...
