Who would consider this?

A thought occurred to me just reading the article on who thinks clubs would go under and who would financially struggle, and that is - would any of you pay for a seat at a game played behind closed doors, even though you could not attend, just to help keep the club afloat.

If you are thinking about Leyton Orient, of course.
If it was another club in serious trouble it depends. Let`s say you could pay for seat to help a club like Bury, I think so.
Southend/Macclesfield/Oldham? I am not so sure.

Doubt season ticket holders would get a choice.

If they stream wouldn't we be doing that anyway?

Already paid once.
You want us to pay again not to attend?

I sort of do it already with my monthly contribution to the Well Society.

consider this if football supporters
just stop going to football for as long as it takes to bring the entrance price
down to a reasonable amount instead of paying vast amounts of money
for a game and seeing ridiculous wages for players and transfer fees.

OK, would season ticket holders not claim anything back if it meant it would help the club "survive"?
The original question was intended for non ST holders, people like me who pay as they go.
The clubs claim that people buying tickets is their main bread and butter, so as supporters of a football club I ask the question again,
Would you consider buying tickets for games that are played behind closed doors, even if they are not on whatever platform for viewing?

No, if they can open the stadium up for a behind closed doors game they can set up a camera and a stream.

What happened to the Loft Money, couldn't they give the clubs some money to help tide them over.

I'm sure some of it was given back to donators, but the bucket stuff they hold. From memory they are bound by strict rules, unlike the supporters club who's sole objective is to support the club in a variety of manners including financial.
I have a feeling that even if LOFT could contribute it would be pissing away good money if we were in the sh*t.

Would expect the owners to cut our cloth accordingly before asking the fans to chip in. A lot of people donated a fair bit of cash only 3 years ago, would be a pisstake to expect it again. The huge losses of the last couple of years do make you worry about a resilience in the current situation though. Never got the impression that our owners are mega wealthy nor disposed towards sustaining ongoing big deficits.

The known owners are ridiculously wealthy. Of course they can manage to pay the bills over the coming months, comfortably.
I can't comment on the mysterious investors, I have no idea who they are.

Now that you have so much time on your hands maybe you could get off your lazy arse and find out who exactly these people are.

Depends on your definition of ridiculously wealthy. Imagine Travers is 'only' worth low tens of millions, which wouldn't go far in lower league football. Teague it's very hard to say. His private equity firm's website doesn't scream big money (
https://www.goldcreekcapital.com/index.html) and he has little non-Orient online profile, but that probably doesn't mean much.
EDIT - Teague has suggested his wealth is in the tens of millions, according to his FT interview. Obviously there's a lot of leeway in that description but it doesn't suggest huge pockets that can be relied upon to prop us up in a major way indefinitely.
Wild speculation on my part really!

Correct on all counts. We put something out in great detail about this a couple of weeks ago -

I do believe one of them is one of if not the top person at Pepsi. Teague said he could buy the club and fund it without blinking or some such words. The inference was he was seriously wealthy and didn't want anything in return for his investment either.

So all this talk of us lot having to prop up the club is irrelevant?

Totally as no one from the club has asked for help. Remember they would not entertain lofts money for a bit of access or whatever, despite I believe Adam being a great candidate to fill that role.
