Newcastle to be Sold £350m

It appears that Ashley is selling the club to the Amanda Staveley consortium for an initial £200m with Ashley lending the club £150m by way a charge on the assets etc. Repayable over 5 years.

What’s confusing me is why they need or require to borrow £150m off Ashley.

The Rueben brothers are a part of the consortium and they are worth a combined £19bn which puts Ashley in their small change jar. So why the need to borrow money off him? I don’t get it.

Sounds fishy to me.

This £350 Million sounds as suspect as the promise shown on the side of the Brexit Bus.

He needs to sell because people will boycott his stores.
Taking the p155 out of his staff , forcing them to go to work when the government said to close.

Imagine how many of the staff at his places
could have infected thise who died .

Amnesty are saying that the new owners Saudi Arabia Investment Tool are only buying for positive PR reasons due to their poor human rights records.

The premier league are unlikely to intervene or stop the purchase.

Surely owning Newcassle wouldn't help anyone's image. Not for long anyway.
