All matches in the Round of 16 have now completed, with no need for any coin-toss tiebreaks

The results are as follows:

1 - Status Quo - trouncing Oasis 62% - 38%
2 - Kinks beat David Bowie - 57% - 43%
3 - Lyndsey Buckingham’s Fleetwood MAC overcame the The Cure 62% - 38%
4 - The Who - 68% - 32% Vs 10cc
5 - Pink Floyd 56% - Elton John 44%
6 - Beatles beat Queen 64% - 36%
7 - The Jam 58% - T.Rex 42%
8 - Small Faces outdid the Specials 54% - 46%

So the largest margin of victory was in match 4, with The Who needing no substitute to easily beat 10cc with over 2 thirds of the vote - I guess 10cc wont be in love with the competition any more.

Closest match was in the bottom tie, where the Small Faces edged out those Ska boys from Coventry 54% - 46%.

Personally, disappointed that Bowie and the Cure didn't get through to the Quarter Finals, and really unsure how the Quo overcame Oasis - maybe it's the Rocking all over the world effect

Status Quo beating Oasis. Pfffffttttt. Oasis are my best band ever as too young to remember the Beatles. Tempted not to play anymore and sulk but I won’t. In the spirit of competition I will vote for the Beatles or The Jam and if any of the others win, you are all mad.
