Despite some great tunes, The Jam were overrated from the bands coming out of punk. But I like Weller, and actually prefer his Style Council and early solo stuff.

Bolan developed a style that has never been successfully repeated, but it’s a bit samey and the there’s not much of interest beyond a Greatest Hits package.

Except of course they werent a punk band. Stop getting The Jam wrong.
