Not to most people's taste but I love The Fall.
Despite having hundreds of members the lyrical and musical genius of Mark E Smith RIP ah has kept me entertained for decades..
My other nomination here is The Jam, who vied for my affections with The Clash. Not such a big fan of his solo stuff but the early albums are belters.

The Sex Pistols were utter crap..none of them could play, except Glen Matlock, and they chucked him out for the moron that was Sid Vicious, who couldnt play more than 3 notes
