Bandoff ! (or World Cup of Bands)

Many years ago, Flying Hippo and I invented a game we called Bandoff. It was in the bar (quelle surprise) of the Salutation Hotel in Perth, after a day at the races. We found a flyer for the Rewind Festival, which had bands from the 80s and 90s - and we created a knockout tournament between these bands to find the greatest band (from that list). Everyone in the bar joined in and voted / argued for their favourites in each tie - and they all seemed to enjoy themselves, into the small hours that July night.
For a few years we tried to find a way of cashing in (not to put a too fine point on it) - I even learned an App programming language and created a prototype App. Sadly, that fraud Richard Osman beat us to the punch, and created his "World Cup of....." series of games, books. (actually, I don't think he's a fraud and don't begrudge him any of the additional millions he's no doubt banked from it - he really does seem to have the midas touch, and I'm sure he came up with the idea independently)
If you'd like, i can arrange us a game of Bandoff for the next few days. If boarders would like to suggest bands / artists to be included, I'll random draw them into groups for the group stages. Then the winners and runners up from the group stages will progress to a round of 16, and so on to the final. Each round will be random drawn - like the FA Cup, rather than a predefined "route" (e.g. winner of Group A playes Runner up of Group F etc etc)
All matches / group stages, will be decided by way of Polls on here that I shall put up. You can vote for your favourite in each poll, and argue your case if you like and think you can influence other boarders' votes.
I'd propose to have the polling open for the group stages on here until about midday on Saturday, and then do the knockout round voting for a day each round.
What do you think? If you want a band/artist included, please enter them on this thread. (maybe a maximum of 2 bands each, eh?)
Entries: - These will be drawn randomly into 8 groups for the Group Stage voting - groups will be either 4 or 5 bands, and the top 2 by voting will go through to the Round of 16.
