Re: Prediction when League 2 returns
Very important outcomes from this virus will be the period of recovery needed and what, if any health problems, permanent or long term will have been caused. It's possible that footballers who contract the virus and have more than mild symptons may not be fit to play for many months to come - or again. Some clubs may not be affected, some only slightly, but some could lose virtually their whole 1st XI. What a difference that could make to a club's season.

Re: Prediction when League 2 returns
Fully expect most of the lock down stuff to be in place until late May early June as this will be the 12 weeks. Then I reckon they'll have to give the players a couple of weeks pre-season to get a level of fitness back. So middle of June with them trying to complete the season by the end of July with the playoffs scrapped. Then restarting the league at some point in September with some serious amendments to the FA cup (probably scrapping all replays for this season) and if they've any common sense getting rid of the League cup for a year to free midweek spaces for the catch up.

I’m happy that Orient are in a safe position and it doesn’t matter too much if/when L2 starts.
Wouldn’t like to be a Barrow fan wondering what’s gonna happen to them.
Also if you’re in one of the top 7 or 8 places in L2 sweating on if the EFL scrap the season.
Can’t see much happening before 1st July

Re: Prediction when League 2 returns
I think that the priority is to finish this season come what may. Next season doesn't exist yet. The records have to show that this one did. After all there may be a number of teams that will fold and thus affect leagues anyway. This would be sorted out if it occurred, but at least it would be a new season of sorts. For me it would be a disaster to void this season

Re: Prediction when League 2 returns
I'm expecting some social distancing measures to remain in place until at least September. I certainly cannot see any events with large crowds of spectators being allowed before then, if at all for the remainder of this year.
Depending on whether some restrictions are lifted, it may be that the leagues get played out behind closed doors. The alternative is to just void the season which, right now, has to be a possibility. We'll then have to wait and see when we get back to normal, whatever 'normal' looks like. But I think we've already reached a point where issues such as this no longer seem important.

Re: Prediction when League 2 returns
Relax rules about showing games Saturday 15:00, play games behind closed doors and stream them just to finish the season
Doesn't make up for gate losses I know

Are you all happy to go back to being in a crowd? Think I will change my behavior for some time yet.

Re: Prediction when League 2 returns
How about aggregate this season and the next into one?
Then we can play 56 more meaningless games.

Re: Prediction when League 2 returns
After this news article today - I know it refers to the PL - I can see L1 & L2 not re-starting, unless the infection and death rate due to Covid 19 drops tremendously in the next 3 weeks of lock down.

It won't return, I think by time restrictions are relaxed many clubs will have folded
