Im not jewish , but read it regularly when i was working.

It really is a decent paper & tries to represent all sides of a political spectrum.
Im pretty sure they made lots of noise with regards to Mordechai Vanunu .

Come on Tufty. What about the journalist recently censured by the PCC for telling lies about the anti-semitism within Labour. What you cite is historical.

There may have been a time when it was "2 sided" (whatever that means) but if its failed as a commercial enterprise its because it has lost its relevance and nobody reads or buys it anymore.

Back in the day, the JC was a valuable newspaper for the Jewish community, but once the vile Pollard took over it became a toxic, entity .
Pollard is a hard right nasty. I believe he was sued fairly recently and had to pay damages, which probably contributed to the papers demise
I'm sure the vacuum will be filled soon, and one hopes the replacement will be a kinder paper
