Stupid absolutely stupid but so many in officialdom think they r above the rest of us

Beggars belief, knowing they're constantly in the public eye with press photographers around them watching their every move, dumbfounded.

This actually makes my blood boil. One rule for the plebs and one rule for the elite. There are people in high rise council flats in the centre of cities implicitly following instructions and the vast majority of this country are doing as told. She has a 1.5m pound house in Edinburgh but still feels the need to jolly off to her country pile. Twice. I hope she gets bad AIDS.

Whats the harm in her going to her holiday home? Presumably shes travelling and staying within her own household?

Wee Jimmy Krankie was most annoyed at the Update meeting in front of the TV cameras yesterday afternoon. You could see
that she was most uncomfortable with the whole thing, and rightly so. The first minister had to stick up for her CMO in public,
but I reckon Calderwood was pushed rather than resigned.

Hopefully Police Scotland are on their way to have the same little chat with Prince Charles who traveled 500 miles to HIS holiday home in Scotland whilst symptomatic.

She was clearly in the wrong to do it (and 2 times can't really be a "mistake", which is how she framed it) but I can't help thinking that Scotland's now going to be a little bit less safe without her doing the job that 1st Minister wanted her to do.

The guidance is to only carry out essential journeys.

It's not just to avoid spreading the virus. If you're not out driving your car, you've less chance of being in an accident and needing the NHS, for example.

Fair point. Seems like she has had to resign out of embarrassment rather than having done something harmful though.

Resignation was due to hypocrisy, it also threatened to severely damage Govt's message

Correct. Her actions were stupid and selfish.

One good thing to come out of her disgrace and resignation is that the numpties who continue to flout the rules, like over the weekend, may finally get the message that the situation is serious and applies to everyone.
