Don't worry Boris; Matt Hancock will have your ventilator ready.......by the end of the week........errrrrr by the end of the month.......errrrrr, it's on urgent order as "it's very imporrrrrrtant", so sometime soon. He thinks. Hopefully.

Yes, we are in a crisis but so far Johnson has been a total failure. While he celebrated Brexit, engagement and another baby expected, he took a casual stance on what was forthcoming from this pandemic. He is a useless leader but his deputies Gove and Raab are even more untrustworthy.
You need reminding thatNuneatonO's wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 1:19 am Some of you guys think Boris is the man we need to handle this crisis?
REALLY?
- Remind me again how many NHS Staff STILL haven't been tested.
- Remind me again how many NHS Staff STILL do not have the correct Personal Protective Equipment.
- Remind me again how many NHS Staff have lost their lives, because of these aforementioned failures.
- Remind me again how many people have contracted the Virus; or in the worst cases, have actually now died; because the Tory Party led by this utter clown, haven't taken timely W.H.O. advice and didn't isolate the Country quickly enough.
- Remind me again how far we are behind other European Countries for Coronavirus testing.
- Remind me again how many ventilators are due to be supplied and by when; as his Health Secretary doesn't appear to have a bloody clue.
- Remind me again how many NHS beds have been cut; and how Social Care has been destroyed over the past 10 years; on his partys' watch. Savage cuts that I think you'll find he's always voted for.
- Remind me again whilst checking those numbers, just how many thousands of front-line nursing and health care support vacancies have also increased by since 2010?
- Remind me again how many Brits are still stuck overseas; because repatriation has been so poorly organised by this useless Tory Government; and their servants at the similarly incompetent Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
I don't wish Boris Johnson ANY illness; and sincerely hope that he makes a full recovery.
However, for people to be saying that he's needed back at Number 10 to urgently to lead this crisis, just goes to show how blinkered some people truly are.
The guy is an utterly clueless; and his handling of this crisis truly appalling. He is clearly completely out of his depth.
Meanwhile, for the Tory Party to now place the NHS so highly at the top of their agenda; after a decade of mismangement and under-investment, makes me want to puke.
I'm not sure why we need to imagine anything when we can see exactly what is happening now. Diane Abbott was shadow home secretary not health (anyone heard from Priti recently?) but apart from that, it's a great point you make, even if slightly at odds with your sentiment about not pointing fingers and pulling together.Cheshunto wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 7:27 am I’m no fan of Boris and there are things that I wish the government had done regarding this crisis ie closed the border and getting PPE to NHS staff sooner etc
However just imagine if Jeremy Corbyn had won the election and how the Covid-19 situation would have been handled with his ace mathematician Diane Abbott in charge of calculating how many masks we needed.
Now is not the time to point fingers but pull together to hopefully get us out of this critical National Emergency.
Remember when you told a worried pensioner he was an bumhole and mocked him for living in a "nuclear fallout shelter" because he was worried about NHS capacity?NuneatonO's wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 1:19 am Some of you guys think Boris is the man we need to handle this crisis?

Boris was voted in as PM with a huge majority.
He has , according to opinion polls, got support of majority of the country for his leadership
Brits abroad ignore requests they must get on flights home.
New hospital beds coming available in massive numbers
Now is not the time to be so negative. We are in a crisis and everyone needs to stop fighting each other and turn attention to fighting this plague. Recriminations etc can follow when things start to return to normal.
Boris is criticised for being slow off the mark yet a few hundred overpaid footballers still can’t agree to take a pay cut whilst their union secretary still takes home a £2,000,000.00 salary.
If you are lucky enough to be still receiving an income who is paying for that and have you donated a significant % back to help others?

I'll definitely be pulling together and doing all I can. As well as clapping the NHS on Thursdays I'm also making my kid draw upwards of 20 rainbows a day.
What on earth has the Governments ineptitude* got to do with some rich sportsmen? Are you also calling on banking bosses, CEOs, the Queen, Jacob Rees Mogg and other super wealthy individuals to give us their money? It's bizarre.Winchesterfan wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 7:17 am

- I had no idea just how deadly this disease had become; hence I went to the pub once before the lock-down. Sgould I have done this? Clearly not. I should have listened to my Wife sooner; rather than take advantage of the misinformation provided by Johnson and his incompetent Tory Government.
