The best way of applauding the NHS would have been voting Labour.

To the best of my knowledge, from what I can remember, my Wife became a nurse to make the sick better? Which she has done.

As her career progressed, to actually save people's lives. Which again, she has done.

Going to work and subsequently risking her OWN life; was NOT what SHE, nor her colleagues, ever signed up for you utter ignoramus. Risking THEIR own lives, 'ain't THEIR job'! (((

Notwithstanding that point, anyone who votes Tory and has clicked 'Yes' above.........you are a complete hypocrite.

Thank you for being decent enough to respond in that manner.

Apologies......the term ignoramus is withdrawn. ;)

If somebody claps but there is not a NHS worker around to hear it, does it make a sound?

It does if they record themselves and upload it onto social media.

If it makes just 1 NHS worker feel more valued then it has to be worth it regardless of the endless pro's and con's of the political arguments.

Not if it pisses off the same amount of NHS workers.

Applauding for NHS & Keyworkers will happen again tonight (Thursday) at 8pm .. health workers are telling us that while they really appreciated the gesture, it turned their stomach to see the likes of Gove and Johnson clapping too - when through their inaction, they've left them desperately short of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and with no testing.

So tonight while clapping, they'd like you to chant:

"TEST! TEST! TEST!
PPE!
KEEP KEY WORKERS
VIRUS-FREE!"
Videos can be posted on MPs social media - show them our response to their posts!!

Over the last series of labour governments nhs spending went up by over 50% as a % of UK GDP (the spend doubled) and that excludes the massive expansion of the private finance initiative in this period too. I doubt we saw the benefit pound for pound. I would not trust any political party to wisely invest in this service.

Before investing I'd like to see it broken down a bit into a small number of public services. For example, the amount of old people occupying beds because there is no social care provision is scandalous. Thatcher is to blame for that, but I'd also accuse every government since John Major of idleness in this regard.

Does it matter weather your a Labour or Tory supporter ? I just thought it would be good to show a bit of support for those doing a great job out there .
