Met Police Arrest more than 650
Now everyone is at home the met police decided to do some raids and nicked more 650 people that were wanted. Violent criminals were targeted, including knife, muggers and drug dealers. Lovely I say let's ramp this up and go and get more of the scum that infect our streets with their negativity.
I'm not sure what it's like where you are, but I've not seen so many police out on the streets, in cars etc.. So if they can do it now, why can't they do it every day?
Carry on met police and hopefully every police force and round up the scum.

You’ve really got to feel for burglars at this time. I hope they can apply for 80% of stolen earnings after no one is ever out anymore.

My mate works for Ocado. He was on late shift at Poplar and whilst making a delivery, his van was broken into and loads of shopping was nicked. Van was rendered undrivable. He had to ring up all his customers and tell them no deliveries. Somebody witnessed the robbery and photographed the robbers.

Who'd have ever thought it.
Poplar has always been an area with such law-abiding citizens too.

I would have thought that across the crime-free, beautiful Garden of England, the local Bobby from the Kent Constabulary just went out on his bicycle? Once the wool shops, tea rooms and the novelty rock emporium in the High St. were secure, he'd just cycle home, in time for tea; perhaps checking for the odd radio licence on the way.
Unlike that den of iniquity, East Ham; with its 24/7 drug raids and daily gangland shoot-outs.

I was wondering what the drug gangs were going to do as they would be very conspicuous if they carried on as normal. Their other problem is there is nowhere to launder the takings.

A lot of drug dealing is now done online and using cryptocurrency. The dealers have been better prepared for this than many other sectors.

Do you know which online places these deals are carried out on? Reliable ones, please. This is for research purposes.

No idea mate. All the market places keep closing down and the owners bugger off with any crypto users have left in their online wallets.

Not a theory as such just the fact that the Tories cut 23,500 police officers since March 2010.

Re: Met Police Arrest more than 650
So despite cutting and ill use your figures 23,500 coppers, normally you don’t see a copper for dust, now they are everywhere and that’s with 23,500 less of them. Ok I get it, you’re saying they can do more with less when the going gets tough.

I don't suppose that the fact that most of us are banged up at home would make life a bit quieter for the Police would it? And I don't suppose that the ones on the street are there to try and enforce the lockdown at all, are they.

Re: Met Police Arrest more than 650
I’m sure they are, but my point stands, why is it there a visable presence every day regardless of lockdown or not? If they can do it now, then surely they can do it everyday? I’m seeing old bill everywhere like there an army marching around the place.
So there’s a few people out and old bill everywhere. A month ago, there’s loads of people out and no old bill. Don’t make sense to me, same number of coppers on the payroll yet they can flood the streets today, but couldn’t then. Strange.

I can't believe you're this dense, but then again... because we're banged up there is bugger all, in comparison to the norm, for the Police to do. Hence they have time to patrol the streets in bigger numbers. But you know this really, and I'm yet to be convinced by your "old bill everywhere" statement anyway. I think you're better at your biological weapon fantasy tbh.Thor wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2020 7:04 pm I’m sure they are, but my point stands, why is it there a visable presence every day regardless of lockdown or not? Other than Cruise Ship Karoake where the audience are too feeble to try and wrestle the Mic from him as he bangs out yet another Billy Fury number and everyone looks at each other and asks who the eff is Billy Fury?
