Yep. I reckon we’re looking at around 3-5,000 ghost kids, based on absolutely nothing.

They have been allocated to the other three quarters of the stadium that will be mostly empty.

You're the expert at basing numbers on nothing. e.g. number of season ticket holders in the East stand.

Probably a few more than 21,000 with some lurking in neutral section (like me) and Cray Valley section.

I went to the non-league final day last year and it was great. Prawn circle seats between half way line and penalty box and the beer was only £5/pint (less than England games). So good I booked for 10 of us again and just fortunate the Os made the final.

Will be interesting to see how many Fylde sell. Average attendance just over 1,500 and a long trip. Also if they make play offs week before it could be less.
Pretty certain that if Os had to go to say Old Trafford, the tickets sold would be closer to 3,000.

Less than we took to Wembley.

But there’s a difference between a play off final and a non league cup game.

Don't know, but promotion play off is likely to be better attended than an FA Trophy final. I haven't been to any of the Trophy games this season, though I did go to Gateshead home last season.

Agreed. Manchester isn't exactly Mordor. It's relatively easy to get to (albeit a bit pricey on the trains).

20k+ at Wembley would easily translate to approx. 10K at Old Trafford.

I would say there is a hard core of around 4,000 home supporters, but of those some wouldn't be that committed. You can add in a few day trippers who wouldn't ordinarily go who might fancy going to Old Trafford, but with it being a Sunday and not a Holiday weekend, I think 3,000. But we will never know.

What about all the displaced Orient supporters who can't normally make it to London on a Saturday? They would far outnumber the amount of the 4,000 London/Essex based hardcore who wouldn't make the trip.

Some of the glory hunter like myself moved away from the area many years ago and due to distance, work and family are unable to commit to attending matches.

It doesn't mean you should think any less of us ,did I see you in the chicken run putting money in the bucket ?

And there will be plenty of people who might make the odd game throughout the season who would make an effort to go. If it was say 8,000 going to Cardiff for a play off final, then I would expect less for the FA Trophy final in say Manchester. My point (long lost) was that I don't think Fylde will have much support because of the distance.

Does make me wonder where are they on a wet Saturday afternoon in November. I except some of those 21,000 people will have to travel a great distance but I'm not talking about them, I'm thinking more about the more local fans who are fair weather people.
