Will now remarkably ending up being its most infamous (and as a result memorable) totally for non-footballing reasons. No one now will ever forget season 2019-20

Season 1974-75 after almost getting promoted to division 1.

We scored 28 goals in 42 games

The period just after my birthday when we fought back from 0-1 to beat Walsall 3-1, followed by the 4-0 win at Grimsby (Alabi scored!) will live long in my memory for good reasons. The Plymouth, Morecambe and Maldon & Tiptree games immediately afterwards likewise for all the wrong reasons.

Winning the first home game after what had happened in the close season and therefore continuing the optimism of the end of last season was memorable IMO

Fair point well made,

Was thinking that game actually as the only real stand out tbh. Very poignant and emotional day (being back in the league and the first game since losing Justin ) to be fair I stand corrected and that day alone would stand out amongst seasons 👍
