Unbeaten this year last home defeat Colchester on Boxing day. A step in the right direction especialy since home matches are watched by most of our fans. Lets stay unbeaten until end of the season. Will be difficult as PAFC, Salford & Exeter are remaining

You can't say things like that, it doesn't fit with the Ling / Embleton lynch mobs view

Need to win against decent teams at home before getting too excited. Wins are great of course but thus far needed the help of own goals, keeper cock-ups. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll take any win. But let’s hope we turn over a decent side. We have some momentum, let’s not waste it.

With the jan additions, it’s pretty clear we are a bang average league two side atm. We aren’t sh*t, we aren’t great. The challenge for everyone next season is how to push us to the next level and be in and around the playoffs. Whether that’s via Ross improving or new signings, or both, we need to find about 25 more points next season which is no easy feat.

How is Ross going to improve? You’ve either got it or you ain’t.

By having vetter players.

Youll see he has got it when it is open & obvious.

You cant see he has kept us in league 2 with a sh*te squad & the summer tragedy, because you are blind to it.

I don’t think he will, personally but I’m open to being proved wrong. Regardless of our feelings towards him, any person, in any field SHOULD improve with experience. We will tell in 6 months time if he has it in him to push us to the next level.

To be honest any manager, with this squad, should be capable of making sure we avoided relegation. Ross just made hard work of it.

And I don’t believe the mark of a good manager is just the quality of the players but what he gats out of those players he has.

Ross will improve with experience. If he has genuine ability then he will use experience to develop that ability and help us to maximise the ability of the squad. Only then will we genuinely benefit from better players.

How come you’ve come over all reasonable? We must not rest until Embleton is vanquished!

Seriously tho: RE may make a good manager one day. He’s some years away from that atm though, and I’m not sure I (or - more importantly - Kent Teague) have the patience to sit through 5 more seasons like this one.

And RE would probably learn more quickly working under someone with more experience anyway. But it’s too late for that now, at least for him at Orient.

The big plus is, is that Jobi is back. A top notch CM that has come back into the fold. I am sure that Maca will make us tick
as the rest of the guys will come up to his standard. I only hope that he stays fit.

For someone who has been crying about experience, you don't think it can improve a manager? Idiotic post. :clown

Remember when Martin Ling improved as a manager year on year?

Or did you hate that as much as you hate it now?

So you admit our squad is sh*te yet you have claimed otherwise all season.

You couldn’t make it up.

Really? Experience only works if a person has innate leadership skills in the first place. Take you for example. You have been moderating this board for months yet you are still clueless.

The squad isn’t poo poo. It’s not promotion standard of course but it’s not poo poo.

The first choice 11 is really close - now - to being good enough to mount a challenge. But it’s still not functioning as well as it should be.

Its sh*te enough.

4 players of real quality for league1/2 1 fella who is class but probably has 1 season left & the rest are mediocre.

Ship 3 mediocre out for 1 class & 2 qualties & the mediocre dont get exposed

We're 16th in the table for both home and away record this season

Which implies the mediocrity extends to both

The players suitable to mount a L2 promotion push in my mind are:

Laurimm Dogg

Turley
Marvin
Happe
Brophy

Cisse
Jobi

JMD
Ruel
Angol/Wilkinson

The likes of Widdowson, Coulson, Clay are also ok support.

It’s not poo poo.
