I thought their bald bloke was milking it a bit when he went down in the build up to the first goal but that was a blatant foul by Clay. A booking too, we got lucky. But still a good run by Clay and it’s great to see him being that direct and aggressive.

Same with Brophy for the second, things happen when you run at players. And as bad as the keeper was in that, their centre half was even worse. Johnson had no right to get in front of him and beat him to the loose ball.

The usual poor defending from us at set pieces. Johnson let’s his man get in front and flick the ball onto the post for what could have made it 1-1 and Marsh’s attempted clearance for their goal was a disgrace.

hopefully Johnson is one of those players who seems bang average but always seems to be in the right place at the right time.

Their goal was shocking, again. Cisse doesn't even jump, coulson loses the goalscorer and ends up on the floor and marsh just isn't a defender.

Yeah, if Johnson keeps on being sh*t but scores goals, I’ll suffer that.

(Should have had a second, too).

Either they had a off day or the pre match boss quote was overstated
They’re bad.

Tell me one good player they had?

It was a tough match. Cambridge didn’t bring much quality to the table, but they were physical, cynical and loved a dive. We’re not good enough to make things easy for ourselves in most matches.

It seems every match the opposition is going be tough - why do they have to state this every match is it some kind of football etiquette that managers or our manager has to make to be "respected" within the industry or is is a contingency statement if we get beat and it then turns into words like " we knew it would be a tough game as every match in this division is tough"
You expect him to say 'Cambridge are rubbish, should be an easy 3 points'. That'd be their team talk done.

I'd have their right back over anything we have. Never really got beat one on one. As good a game as Brophy may have had, it was mainly for his defensive work. Not for beating the #2.

Ruel was up against the 2 for most of the game. Made him look silly on lots of occasions.
