Surely that should read "historian"

Just read comments being posted by a variety of people on Twitter/X. I've not seen anything in the "reputable" news yet, and one or two commentators are suggesting that he''s not dead yet but just too unwell to respond. Still, that wasn't going to stop me.

You follow people close to Irving who would be able to report this? :~

Okay, this one is definitely legit.

Ewen MacIntosh, best known for playing Keith in The Office, has died at the age of 50.

That's sad news about Ewen/Keith, how to be very funny whilst being completely deadpan.

One of my favourite scenes from The Office:

I've just noticed this - Mike Proctor, cricketer, 77 - Gloucestershire and South African test cricketer, the latter before they were banned because of the apartheid regime. I saw him once against Essex at Chelmsford, boy could he bowl fast and he bowled his fellow South African, Ken McEwan, middle stump uprooted, much to the annoyance of the Essex faithful.

Just realised that if he was 50 he was 27/28 in the first series of the Office 🤯

I really like the US Office, but nothing illustrates the difference in humour between the US and U.K. like comparing Keith with his US counterpart - Keith is played totally straight, utterly believable and the genius is in the tiniest detail, while in the US the character is pretty much a cartoon idiot

But we had Gareth as the cartoon idiot.

Gareth was much more than a cartoon idiot. He had his own distinct character arc.

He was a good player. Convincing, unique and one could relate to a person in a working environment. I worked with a man who was very much like him in the office.
