It has been drawn to my attention that somebody is pretending to be me on the other message board.

I am stating categorically that it isn’t me on the other board. My main concern is that whoever is behind that account is having a go at people who also have accounts on here. I suspect that this is an attempt to get users who I have no issue with on here to turn against me.

This is very strange behaviour and I’m asking politely for whoever it is to knock it off.

If you’ve got a problem with me then direct message me on here and we can discuss. But pretending to be me elsewhere in an attempt at character assassination really is going too far.

Agreed. I don't know if the two board mod's ever talk but if they did then surely they could match his IP address from one place to the other to "out" the culprit.

That would be illegal.

I worry about the mental well being of somebody who goes to the lengths of setting up accounts on different Leyton Orient forums just to troll me.

Others have their suspicions of who it is, and I happen to agree with them. However it’s basically impossible to prove it unless they come out and confess, so I’m just asking them politely now to pack it in.

Clearly it hasn’t worked because others have spotted that it isn’t me almost immediately.

A lot of talk about just being kind to people. I'd imagine this sort of stuff can cause real life implications and stress. So reign it in, whoever it is, it's not nice and not necessary.

Huxley , the person using your name over there said he was on there cos he tried to get Lucky7 banned on here without success ......it does sound a bit like you ( not that I'm saying it is )

Let’s be honest, everybody knows that there’s only one person it could realistically be.

I have no evidence so I can’t accuse them openly, but I’m pleased to see that the individuals who the fake account started abusing are smart enough to realise that it isn’t me.

Going to the effort of setting up a fake account on a different message board pretending to be somebody you’ve never even met just to get some other members of a league 2 message board to turn against the person you’re pretending to be is not normal behaviour.

If the person behind the fake account has the decency to send me a private message I promise not to out them and will let the whole thing slide.

If they continue to post pretending to be me on the other board I’ll take further action with those in charge of the other board.

I’ve only ever had 1 account on this board, the one I’m currenty using.

As a mod you already know this. And if I did have multiple accounts you would have been more than pleased to out me. The fact that you haven’t is proof enough that I don’t have any aliases on this board.

You’re making false allegations against me (or at least false insinuations), which is bang out of order considering you’re supposed to be a mod on this board.
