Not sure I'm allowed to comment on the game given I wasn't there but I'll give it a go. A game dominated by the conditions and an average lower mid-table team dominated by a team pushing for the play offs. We had most of the possession in the first half (60%) but never capitalised on it (four shots to their six). Wilkinson, Angol and Johnson haven't built up an understanding yet and we played too narrow with Brophy and Marsh not getting forward enough, strange given all the possession we had. Fluked a goal but went in all square. After the break the possession stats were reversed and they were all over us (21 shots to them, nil to us) and we never got out of our half. Eventually the goal that had been coming for the best part of 45 minutes went in and we deservedly lost. Nuff said.

Vigoroux - 6 - covered for some dreadful defending in the first half but his kicking needs to improve
Brophy - 6 - mostly dealt with their right side in the first half and looked to be part of a defensive back five when Widdowson came on, Never had the chance to run at their defence
Happe - 5- was poor on Tuesday and even worse today, worrying
Coulson - 6 - not helped by the midfield allowing their midfield to run into the space in front of him. If they could shoot they would have won by a bigger margin
Marsh - 6 - worked his backside off but too many crosses came in from his side
Cisse - 7 - looked classy in the first half
Clay - 7 - probably his best game of the season
Dayton - 4 - very poor, not suited to a CM role, had no impact on the game offensively or defensively
Johnson - 5 - aside from a shot just wide early on contributed nothing
Angol - 5 - lacks confidence and takes an age to make a decision when he's on the ball
Wilkinson - 6 - had a good first half but had to play as part of the back nine in the second half

JMD - 6 - the double substitution on the hour was the right one but never got out of his own half, he ain't a defender
Widdowson - 6 - was asked to play CB against the cavalry
Wright - came on, that's all I remember about his contribution.

Johnson 5?? Really? Yeah that does show you weren’t at the game but thanks for ratings

8 - very good game
7 - good game
6 - average game
5 - poor game
4 - very poor game

All those years playing Football Manager come in handy

I was fortunate to watch it on the stream. A big thumbs up to you guys who braved the conditions and spent the whole of the second half getting a close up of the bombardment.

On twitter they say the keeper should have come for the second goal? Not seen it myself but maybe someone who was there could comment? Also I thought Ross said his kicking and distribution were some of his best and main points? So far I’ve not been impressed with his kicking and distribution.

Not sure about him coming out in that weather however I can confirm his kicking was wayward..Again the weather didn’t help

Seriously, you cant judge his kicking after a game like that. No goalie in the world would have done better under those conditions. LV was our best player IMO. Two good saves in the first half.

I posted on the 1st Feb

Vigouroux 6 - was in favour of him coming in as Sergeant's confidence is shot. All the saves he made would have been expected. Doesn't have a right foot and his kicking was as bad as Sergeants (the wind could be used as an excuse)
