Same old same old, we are where we because we're
Luckily this season we're in a league where there are a few teams more

than us.

Credit to Ross he proved me wrong by showing he does have the minerals to drop Wright, which I do beleive was the right decision.
I wanted to discuss amongst fellow fans what I beleive I saw last night. I liked the possession football we played, we controlled the tempo (Iāll come back to this point) we moved it around quite well and I read that we had something like 70% possession in the first half. Could well be true and if it was correct thatās impressive. So to me there was a big improvement in keeping the ball, keeping it on the floor and moving it from right to left and vice a versa. However, the tempo was way to slow for what we were trying to do. If we are to play that style then we need to move the ball quicker, it needs to ping in quickly to the players and by that quick movement will allow us to stretch the play, create space and then allow us to play through the gaps we create. By moving the ball in the slow manner we did allowed them to get back behind he ball and nullify what we were trying to do. If we had moved with pace we could have been five up with that sort of possession stat.
A lot of negative things have been said about our play recently and Iāll say that Iāve said that myself however, Iām starting to see a pattern to our play and an identity, whilst itās still early days you can see the progression Ross the boss is trying to formulate. He still needs to work on it and speed of movement of the ball and the players should be the next thing he works on. Playing a better team than last night would be an issue if we are that slow against such a team as they will be able to nullify us even easier than what we saw last night.
So for me itās a step in the right direction and I hope to see further work on the shape, the pattern of play and tactics in the coming games.

I have not changed my mind as I never saw the game today, but what I said last week still stands. Iāve not slagged him off nor the team today.
Still if you reflect on what I said, itās a step in the right direction. Today it would appear from what others who were at the game posted that we lost due to the tactics employed and the substitutions played a part in the defeat by bringing them on to us.
So it would appear weāve taken one step forwards and two steps back so to speak. The issue that we have or the team has or the club has, is Ross learning quickly enough on the job?

Nothing to do with playing the team with the best defence in the league &
Joint 1st on Goal difference +21 ?
These fans talk about being realistic .
Then be realistic .
We have an average squad that needs massive improvement for next season.

Not necessarily tuffers, weāve upgraded the players with the ones that came in. Letās hope they can convince Cisse to stay longer. Maybe a couple of more in the summer wouldnāt go a miss, but it looks like a tactical change to 3 at the back and one up top cost us dearly. Thatās not about the players thatās about tactics and what youāre asking them to do.

We never had in my view a proper preseason. Weāve not been fit enough all year. The fact ling changed all that team says something to me about continuity. Itās no coincidence we were probably the fittest team in the national league, this year we are probably the unfittest in the league. Itās about circumstances.
Iām sure with a settled preseason next time around things will be different.

We didn't go three at the back.
Someone on here said we did and Ross says in his interview that joe played on the right of a three. Why he played him on the right of a three is for him to consider although he did offer an explanation about pace down that side so maybe it has merits?
