Orient Funerals

I've heard that the club are going to do weddings, but what about funerals? A lot of money to be made there considering our ageing fanbase.
We could have Alan Comfort presiding over things, ashes scattered over the pitch or perhaps made into a bovril lid? Wakes in the gallery.
Could easily charge 10k.

We get buried most weeks and has the atmosphere of a funeral in the West stand

Think I read that you can no longer scatter ashes on the pitch- not just ours. Think it was to do with H & s

I think it's very fitting with the mood at the club at the moment, which is trying to use grief as a motivating force.

There are people who would pay ££££ for an orient funeral. I personally wouldnt but many would. I dont see how this is tasteless.

Where there's much there's brass, and where there's ashes there's even more. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Mr Macklin take this idea forward.

Miniature souvenir coffins draped in an Orient flag would sell like hot cakes in the club shop.
They would need to be constructed from real wood as plastic ones would be tacky.

We just named our main stand after someone who died last summer, and had been at the club for just 18 months - and people think this suggestion is macabre?

Agreed. The club has to ruthlessly explore every potential income stream otherwise Macklins bonus could be in jeopardy.
We should also offer Barmitzvahs to avoid being called out as Anti-Semites.
