Really poor game to watch with one moment of quality to break the deadlock. Switched off at the end in true Orient fashion but didn't deserve to win so can't argue wirh the result. Won't win many new customers playing such turgid football at home.

For me very much what you get with Ross Embleton in charge. Not quite relegation candidates but not much better.

Vigoroux - 7 - decent distribution, handling and routine stops. Commands the defence with far more confidence than Sargeant, as you'd expect from a senior pro. Should I dock a point for letting one in at the end, I'll leave the board to decide...

Brophy - 6 - MOTM untroubled defensively, brings ball out well, great strike for the goal. Equaliser came from his side though, need to watch that one back... Edit: having seen it docked him a point back down to 6
Ekpiteta - 6 -excellent comfortable and seems a bit more confident with ball at feet
Happe - 6 - as per Ekpiteta
Marsh - 6 - solid enough

Cissé - 6 - defensive shield, generally efficient passing. Get him signed up for next season.
Wright - 5 - control let him down at times, not his best game
Clay - 6 - still not convinced about him at this level but claims an assist today with the slide rule pass for the goal

JMD - 5 - anonymous
Sotiriou - 6 - hustle and bustle, but one too many touches in front of goal today. Despite that he has that excitement factor about him like Koroma... don't f**k up his contract extension Ling
Wilkinson - 4 - a budget Adam Boyd, nice skills but doesn't want to chase loose balls or battle physically at all. Shirt won't need washing for next match.

Coulson - 6 - not really tested, did the basics as you'd expect after coming on for seemingly injured Happe?
Johnson - 5 - barely touched the ball, says more about the service than the player I think. Fluffed his lines with a big chance at the end
Angol - 5 - he was present and ran around a bit, can't say much else

Giving Wright a score feels unfair, as it implies some kind of interaction with the game. Remarkable lack of impact.

All round 5s except for vigoroux, Brophy, happe and Marvin. Toilet opposition that we managed to be just as bad as.

We time wasted shamefully in an echo of the performance at home v 9-man Cheltenham which we luckily won 1-0

Embleford is not good enough. He doesn’t have the talent to be a manager

The time wasting was awful especially as we had the momentum to go and get a second goal . Quite frankly we ended up getting what we deserved

If we’re going to play like that Tuesday night you can give the three points to Mansfield because that was awful

Fair assesment there, Happe apparently was unwell at half time.

They came and played with everyone behind the ball (which IMO made for such a dull game) and we managed to finally break them down and made the most of a rare slip up from their backline.

Thought we got complacent after that, there were signs an equaliser could come and it duly did.

The way Stevenage are playing both sides need probably only a few wins and its onto next season.

This season has been a bit of a slap in the face for fans. There's no way on earth that Embleton is a manager but it seems that the only person who doesn't realise that is Ling.

Another game with no idea, two shots on target is simply pathetic, Ross is lucky that he's been saved by Sotiriou recently. Dread to think what happens next season with current manager still in charge and two teams going down.

Also, why was Sotiriou shafted out wide when his success in the last two games have come playing through the middle?

If you have docked Brophy a point in your original edit down to 6 then Vigoroux with 7 is now MOTM.

From the moment he leisurely walked out carrying a baby and with half a dozen mascots all wearing 44 tops, then spent the warm up trying to offload the f*cking baby, you could see he wasn’t going to be at it.

Wright in another poor game, way over generous with his mark, max of 4 for that performance, how he stayed on the pitch was truly baffling.

Not sure what the instructions were in the dressing room, but we had zero energy, zero guile and zero brains on how to break them down.

Embleton gets a 4 as his tactics did not work, his line up did not work and took too long to change it, favoured players stay.on the pitch when playing poorly and finally his motivation must have been non existent as the players just seem to be going through the motions.

Vigaroux - 6. Not much to do but done it well. Really good on the call, pinging some lovely balls out to Brophy. Just a shame our other full back hides.

Marsh - 4. Tried to compete I guess. But is even more negative than Ling. Whenever he gets the ball, which isn’t often cos he loves to hide, his first turn is backwards. 95% of his passes were back to Marvin. When he does get on, he can do it, just makes it even more infuriating.

Marvin - 6. Solid enough. Still having too much of the ball and having to play long balls because Clay and especially Wright hide.

Happe 6. Same as Marv but doesn’t have to be as much of a playmaker as him because Brophy doesn’t pass the buck all the time, like Marsh does on the other side.

Brophy - 8. Class performance today, best player in the pitch, great finish for the goal to top it off.

Cissé - 6. Worst performance he’s put in, still easily our best midfielder.

Clay - 5. Typical Clay. Lots of running about, plenty of giving the ball away. I lol’d at his MOTM award.

Wright - n/a.

Ruel - 6. A 7 for the first half but disappeared second. Was dead in his feet when Embleton subbed Wilkinson. Really exciting prospect, great to watch. He’s so obviously the real deal.

Wilkinson - 5. some great link up early on but wasn’t strong enough to trouble their two man mountains.

JMD - 5. Not in the game enough. He should be running games like that.

Angol/ the new bloke - 5. No better than what they replaced.

I really don't see how Wright gets in the side, what does he bring to the team. I'd say likewise with Clay but he at least tries to get involved even if what he tries hardly comes off.

Interesting, I don't tend to award the MOTM solely on highest rating. Can see the logic behind that route but Brophy on balance still our most effective player despite some criticism for the equaliser.

Vigoroux might yet get a late downgrade after seeing the highlights. Don't think he could do much with it, looked good strike low across goal like Brophy's at the other end. Replay will confirm it or whether his positioning could've been better.

Two good crosses in 90+minutes of a home game against absolute poo poo where we had nearly all the ball says it all.
We are playing narrow without wingers, therefore it’s his job t get on and get balls in. Or at the very least show for the ball and try a forward pass once in a while.

Look what Brophy does from left back on the other side. The difference is like night and day,

You could be right there, tried something different today and wrote most out at HT, revising them as second half wore on. Left me more conflicted by the late goal than if I'd wrote them straight afterwards where Vigoroux and Brophy would likely have been dropped to 6's

Ratings system 5/10
Pitch 5/10 very bobbly
Tactics 4/10 still too negative

On the left hand side, Brophy has a reasonable understanding and partnership with JMD which allows Brophy to get forward. Mustn't forget Brophy is also a winger.
Marsh on the other hand had absolutely no help down the right. Wilkinson offered him no outlet or target to hit and if a pass wasn't perfect he couldn't be arsed to break stride to go for it.

Ruel was ahead of Marsh most of the time, not Wilko.

Marsh is suppose to be a midfielder. He should be comfortable enough on the ball to try something going forwards instead of always turning back and passing the buck to Marv.

If we sign him next season, I’m gonna be fuming. He’s the sort of nothing player Ling and Embleton seem to like.
