This man knows his onions, we are not lucky, but thankful that we have someone with knowledge, understanding and a business brain in his swede. He has played a massive part in the renaissance of our football club, whoever found him and sold the vision to him needs to stand up and take their right arm and give yourself a nice clap on the back.
Football needs people like him and I’m glad he’s working tirelessly for the O’s, keep up the good work Danny in my eyes your doing it rather well.
To the points he makes he is spot on and football in the EFL does need to take a long hard look at itself and review the positives and negatives and try to make the game more sustainable in the long term as otherwise I fear Bury will be repeated sooner than we think.

Click the tweet there are further ones posted which allude to what I was inferring. Coupled with the Oldham situation which has just surfaced, Danny's words have a certain prophecy about them now.

The elephant in the room is player wages. Until these come down then nothing will change

players wages at all levels of football are outrageous. At least at Premiership level, clubs can make a profit ( West Ham obviously excluded). Even at non league levels, part time players in steps 1 & 2 can often earn over £500pw from clubs with gates of circa 1000

Please, please take me back I pledge to forever say good stuff about you and the club until the day I die.

You know what. I've not been his biggest fan, and still dont feel like the club is always doing the right thing when it comes to commercialisation of everything. But I listened to him on the Love Sport fan show (I dont do it anymore so i'm allowed to plug it) and he was very honest and came across really well. Some tough questions too. Worth a listen via podcast if you have an hour.
I do still think theres a very fine line of breaking even and the cost that takes on fans pockets and match day experience. Hopefully we can get it right.

Macklin is one of the best things in the club at the moment.

Gilso is right in that I am not his alias. I was in Chinatown whilst the game was going on.
