I'm going to run a Prediction League for who we wont sign but that could be everyone.

Yet again we have been found wanting - hardly any activity and still so many problem areas - LB / RB /CM / ST - we are really playing Russian roulette with our survival hopes - need more than a new GK coach and stand (even though great decisions and overdue btw)!

Dont worry ling has still got his feet up on his desk waiting for the right player to knock on his door and say sign me please mister!!

Whatever you say about Tommy Taylor when he was here was at least he did make an effort.

If we did go for Akinde and he turned us down, I wonder how many other players have also recently turned us down .

Probably youngsters from other clubs under 21's sides

I don't think Akinde was realistic to start with. Lincoln in their current guise are a much bigger L1 club than us (averaging 9,000 attendances), his wages would need some further injections of cash. Otherwise, why the hell is there so much contingency in the budget?

Maybe that is the problem, Ling has targeted lots of players with the ability to play in League 1, but doesn't have the means to offer them the money they want. The result, lots of deals falling through and they might wait to the very end of the window to make a decision.
