And 4 of those you can easily question his contribution towards... the first one was really the ghost of Justin Edinburgh bundling the ball over the line (and we still ended up clinging on against 9 men). And the other 3 occurred when his authority was reduced after he announced he was stepping down.
The other 2 both happened away from home. He's clearly acting as a drag on the team's performance, and it's even worse when we're at home weighed down by the grieving masses with their banners, songs, and projected hero-worship.
Embleton is a prisoner of these people, and he needs to be set free. For him and Ling, digging in now only harms their professional reputations in the long-run, and can't be good for their mental health either.
Don't blame the players - most of them are easily up to the job of competing toward the top end of this division, and the risk of losing them grows the longer we persist in this ridiculous limbo.
