Is the price on us to finish bottom of League 2 at Betfair Sportsbook and Paddypower.

I don't think it'll happen, but I do think they are pretty good odds and offer some value. I ain't a taker yet but if we only take 1 point from the next 2 home games with similar performances to recent then I'll be in if the odds are the same, we would likely have slipped below taking less than 1 point per game on average (and the first 15 games form was much better than the last 15 games).

Always thought the board will act when it gets bad, so if we lose the next 3 games I reckon either Ross will be gone, or some big (for us) money will be spent, maybe we could pay a six-figure transfer fee for once.

A significant danger is that we may get dither beyond the window and any new manager that comes in does not have much to work with, especially if some of the better players get injured.

So, if you think things are gonna get worse, you should be all over this bet.... put yer money where your mouth is.

30/1 is certainly higher than I would lay it.

However, the Italian boat has been missed on this one - we won’t go down.

There is a betting place where you can lay the bet off if I'm thinking right betfair is it? Can you make money by taking this bet on then laying it off? Is that how it works?

Betfair Exchange - however, only £2k matched on the relegation market all season.

Apparently there’s more interest in some snail race in Chile which is clearly more understandable :)

Nice price, think I'll take 3/1 the way it's going. Having said that I'm just betting against the O's game by game. Got 23/20 on PV today 👍 at the moment it's paying for a nice holiday in the summer 😎

I must be honest that I backed us at 50/1 when we got relegated , I didn't want to draw but got a holiday out of my winnings , no holiday this year cos I ain't backed us and we will survive .....just ☹

Can't see us paying a six figure transfer fee whatever happens. We will be looking for frees or loans as usual.

Ridiculously general odds.

Just had a look on Sky Bet and current odds on finishing bottom are:
Morecambe 2/5
Stevenage 5/6
Macclesfield 5/2
Carlisle 4/1
Leyton Orient 5/1
Oldham 7/1
Cambridge 12/1
Mansfield 12/1
Grimsby 16/1

More realistic, and I wouldn’t rule Cambridge out given their current form.

Paddy power now 11/2 from 36/1. Best anywhere according to oddschecker is 14/1 Ladbrokes, but I can’t locate the market on their site. After we lose the next 2 games I would expect the odds to fall to 5/2 or thereabouts depending on how the teams below us do. I would like to get odds that Stevenage finish above us.

I just looked at PP and it's still 30/1 for us to finish bottom? Had a tenner on it as well.

but the odds won't be the same if the next two results make it more likely to happen, will they?

1 win in 16 games has relegation written all over it . The bottom two teams are catching us up and I’m not at all confident that we’re going to get out of this mess . Obviously I hope I’m wrong

Of course, that is a possibility.

But if the gap to relegation stays the same at 5 points, the bookies may view the chance as still the same, with fewer games to go. On form we are just as poor as Stevenage and Morecambe, and with Morecambe having Cambridge next, it could be real tight down there if results go against us.

I still don't think relegation myself, but the chance of making a managerial change outside the transfer window, being hit by injuries, employing another Fletcher who produces in-fighting again is a scenario that could happen which makes 30/1 worth taking. I am still hopeful that we will get at least 2-3 more players before the end of the month.

The 5/1 is bottom 2 ....12/1 To finish bottom 👍👍

Ah fair enough, my mistake, thanks for the correction.
