Will be like Dominic Cummings without the expletives.

Agreed.
I got the impression that this was only brought in as a result of early season failings. I saw this as a slight on ML's judgement.Top of the West. wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 10:12 pm T&T are very honest but some of the things they said about the transfer committee and their ideas left me thinking they are trying to reinvent the wheel and the great new idea from Kent about identifying players in the squad who can play in league one left me cold - should have been done earlier this season before 2 year contracts were handed out like smarties, most of this lot are not good enough for league two and we all know that.
If Embleton fails then Ling as his biggest advocate should go and we should combine their salaries towards an experienced manager, it was galling to hear Travis say that some of the people on the list were asking for salaries beyond our means.LittleMate wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 10:15 pmI got the impression that this was only brought in as a result of early season failings. I think they will now they have committed.
If it doesn’t work out, which I sadly don’t think it will, then Ling will have to go too, same for Webby.Top of the West. wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 10:12 pm The content of a lot of the interview won't please many on here. I think Ross has probably made a poor decision taking the job because the one thing you know about being a manager is that sooner or later you get sacked or resign, he is obviously a good coach and decent number two and everyone agrees he is a top bloke but he has put his head on the block, what happens if he fails and they sack him do we go through all this again and make Jobi interim?

Also there has to come a time when we try and put the painful events of the summer behind us (and I am not being in any way disrespectful to Justin and his family) we have to move forward and stop constantly looking back and finding excuses.

It shouldn’t be about Jobi staying on if he wants to though should it? If a new manager comes in then he should have the option to select his own staff. If he’s happy with what he is inheriting then fine, if not then let him change it.RedO wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2020 9:03 amIf it doesn’t work out, which I sadly don’t think it will, then Ling will have to go too, same for Webby.Top of the West. wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 10:12 pm The content of a lot of the interview won't please many on here. Jobi is possibly low enough down the chain so as to be protected when the next manager cons in, if he wants to stay on.

Not really, it's more like they were asking for more than we thought they were worth, not that we couldn't afford to pay what they wanted.Top of the West. wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 10:21 pmIf Embleton fails then Ling as his biggest advocate should go and we should combine their salaries towards an experienced manager, it was galling to hear Travis say that some of the people on the list were asking for salaries beyond our means.LittleMate wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 10:15 pmI got the impression that this was only brought in as a result of early season failings.
