How well should we be doing with a National League squad?

Why are so many of you expecting a first time manager to perform miracles? Much of the squad is NL standard. Klopp wouldn't have this club much higher in the table.

So why has Ling given extended deals to NL standard players?

Clueless.

Yes you are.

Personally I don't agree with the length of the Coulson, clay or brill contracts, but it's happened so don't blame RE for it.

We shouldn't have NL players, thought there was a plan 🙄 let's face it the recruitment has been abysmal and no where near good enough.

The decision to give McAnuff another 12 months has also planned out well hasn’t it? And by the way according to both Ross and ML “the current squad is much better than our league position suggests”!

Which is another way of saying we're too good to get relegated.

I think it also suggests a major disconnect between the views of many fans and those of the HC and DoF.

Forget the 1st time manager. This goes back to the error made by the owners in not appointing an experienced manager after JE died and which they continue to make.

Had JE not died he would have gutted this squad because he understood it's shortcomings which he overcame by altering the team shape.

A new experienced manager would have done the same or started the process given the transfer window limitations. He wouldn't have signed the players we have.

Yeah he did wonders with the no-hopers at Barcelona, Bayern Munich & Man City working on a shoestring budget

Where as stone cold evidence would indicate otherwise, for the majority of games the performances have stunk the place out.

It gives more stability if a manager departs, yes. A manager DYING is totally different.

It isn’t. The DOF is tasked with improving the squad. He sold Koroma and Bonne and didn’t adequately replace them.

THAT is relevant.
