He’s not talking rubbish, none of them are proven, experienced Managers at this level or above and that’s what is needed to improve on Justin’s legacy, they would instead be an insult !

I just dont want the cheap option we need to move forward and not back, We all love and want the best for the club and if this means putting our hand in our pocket then so be it

From what I've heard today its Ross & the club are offering him an 18 month contract.
The reason for the delay is because he wants it written in that if it doesn't work out & the club sack him he wants a guarantee that the club offer him another role within the club, that's why it wasn't announced sooner.
So maybe club not happy with that?
If True, Cake & Eat it comes to mind.

Also if that's the case we'll never ever get a decent experienced manager in Ross always want to be a coach/No.2 as with McMahon he took his No.2 to Dagenham with him.
Club best off letting Ross just do it until the end of the season if this is the case.

Under the circumstances last summer it made sense that he would return to his old job if it didn`t work out as the head coach, but if he has got a long term deal this seems like a very strange guarantee.

If this is true then the club is making a big mistake . The club had better back up Ross with some bloody good January signings or we could be in big trouble come the end of the season.

underwhelming for me and pointing to RE who has said before and after the Fletcher fiasco that he didn't want the job and was having to do things as a "manager" that he didn't like doing. I don't think RE is getting the best out of the players and he if it is going to be him, he needs to "nasty-up".

Oh well, we shall see.

If that is true who does smily smurf think he is? I tell you who he isn’t, Jurgen Klopp. He is a kid who coaches in the lower leagues and at present does it badly.

Have no problem with Ross getting another job at the club if it goes tits up, but not as assistant or with the first team. If it's taken so long to argue the toss surely it's an indication that it's not correct.

Part of me still hopes it'll be a good external appointment but the betting markets don't seem to be saying anything, and if it was someone with a proper track record we'd be getting Crpytic Kent playing silly bollox on Twitter.

Compared to the first year or two Kent has been very quiet, interest waning or just busy with other ventures?

Cant see the point in giving the managets job to ross, and also whats the point in avdertising with over 100 people going for the job and giving most of them a final intererview only for them to be turned down and give it to the cheap option. It didnt work with ross before what makes people think it will next time around. And also this goes with jobi and webb as well

I understand what you are saying what i ment to say was we find it hard to spend money on managers and the right ones as well. We need a proven div 2 manager this is why we are the way we are the recruitment up stairs ling he made a mistake with the last manager, but i am not saying people on here are wrong i am saying some are miss understod as with people saying we need new blood yes we do but we also need a new manager to train them

That is completely and utterly absurd. Worst part is that at this moment in time I also believe it to be the most likely thing to happen

If NSD is right then this just goes to show how shambolic we have become. How could any player possibly respect him after hes sacked? The players will be like, you failed mate jog on.

Joke decision to employ him, joke decision if true with that stipulation. Another couple of years of stagnation.

Read my stats on his time in charge they are absolutely appaling. I'm so down with the events unfolding, we are a club going nowhere, but downwards.

Maybe today's results might see a rethink?

Holloway makes it 2 wins from 2, won 1-0 at Mansfield and had 10 men for most of it! Can easily see them being more motivated than us next week.

Stevenage ground out a 0-0 against Colchester despite having 10 men, compare that to our performance.

Morecambe have signed a load of players have had improved performances without getting results.... if Diagouraga works out they might pick up points.

Calderwood seems on shaky ground at Cambridge, Macclesfield have no manager or even having their players being paid and still managed to beat them. I still think Ling would love to get him on board, so keeping the interim thing going keeps that a possibility.
