As there is no Orient game Saturday I’m off to watch this game weather permitting at Wadham Lodge
Anyone else off to watch a game over the weekend?

It’s had about 6 or 7 different names
Leyton FC
Leyton Penant
Leyton&Wingate
Waltham Forest
Walthamstow Ave(I’m not 109% sure on this one)
They did play at Osborne Rd before it became Brisbane Rd

I knew them as pennant back in the day
Before they became wathamstow penant
for the nth time.
Thats when my mate played for them & they did a league & cup double

My old secondary school used Wadham Lodge for our game sessions . In the winter time I used to freeze my bollocks off over there.

Played on the outer pitches many a time
Only once on the official one when at school.
All the old pitches have gone now i think , replaced by 5 a sides.

Walthamstow won 2-1 good tight contest about 120 or so attended the game
Walthamstow are now Top of the League

Very fiesty game, 1 red card 7 or 8 yellows! A decent game for a 0-0 draw. No sign of Billy Hunt, not listed in the Brightlingsea squad, maybe he's moved on.
