........as they say they do, they will certainly know how the fans feel at the present time

There seems to be a little sympathy for Embleton, but very little for Ling

To much money has been spunked away on deadwood and underachievers for them to take any more chances.

If they do read the board and want to keep the fans onside they need to make an urgent statement tomorrow about appointing a proven, experienced Manager in time for him to make decent purchases before the end of the January transfer window , with no interference from Martin Ling.

Someone said on here that Ling does not intend of doing anything until late in the window. I guess our squad and team are good enough? He certainly is not looking for a manager as we all know and once again confirmed by dulcet Dave today.

Be fair Poundy, no new manager would now have the time to access and strengthen the squad before the window closes again. Unless we have somebody already lined up to come in, it's too late. It will probably be down to Ross and Ling who we sign next .

Then there's our problem in a nutshell. The club is now sleepwalking .

All signings are down to ling, always have been. He has said previously that he took input from Justin, and he’d present options and then they would see who they could get. His work aided by Steve and approved by Justin in so far as not accepting a player he would not want.

This board is a very small subsection of the overall fan base.

If they do read this board I highly doubt they take anything on it too seriously.

Quite apart from the need for new players, what was evident all over the field on Sunday was a team that's good enough for League 2 survival this year and as a foundation for better next. But what I saw on Sunday was a massively under achieving side who could and would vastly improve under the leadership of an experienced, no nonsense head coach. I'm not asking for promotion / play offs this year, just someone who can lay foundations, build with some of those we have, bring in the right players for him and inspire in a way that JE did. Tall order? Maybe but I really hope that there is someone in mind - from outside the club.

Let's hope so, cos there's no one inside the club who can do it.

Agree that this board represents a tiny fraction of overall support, but even a cursory glance would show them which way the wind is blowing.

Fans are looking for even the slightest clue that the club recognise we're in a serious situation here, and are doing something - anything - about it.

Come on Nigel/Kent - give us a New Year's message to give us some hope :)

Cox ended the decade as the 2nd highest assist maker in league 1.
