Am incredibly average performance made to look better than it was by an improved second half brought about by the injury/withdrawal of two senior players and having a man over. Couldn't believe that we started with the same line up that was overrun by Newport and no surprise that our midfield and attack that were a waste of space there were just as bad in the first 45 minutes. Big(ish) improvement in the second half even though we didn't have one shot on target.

Seven points in eight games since Ross took over again. Ridiculously this form won't get us relegated but will make for a miserable second half of the season.

Sergeant - 7 - can't be blamed for the goal and was solid
Happe - 6 - Complicit for the first goal (Turley should have got closer to his man but Gordon ghosted between Happe and Ekpiteta) and nothing going forward
Ekpiteta - 4 - continues to switch off and be sloppy, he needs a spell on the bench
Turley - 5 - not one of his better games
Judd - 6 - did okay defensively and was always an option going forward
Maguire-Drew - 6 - too many of his crosses were overhit, back post or beyond but put in a shift
Wright - 5 - neither protected the defence or contributed going forward
Marsh - 6 - put in a shift but the current central formation doesn't work and he spends the game scrambling around
Clay - 5 - he huffed, he puffed
Sotiriou - 6 - looks like a young kid chasing the game. a couple of decent moments but as at Newport not sure why he saw out the 90 minutes
Angel - 5 - impossible job, always surrounded by at least three players and totally isolated.

Harrold - 6 - never really got into the game due to many overhit crosses
Brophy - 7 - looked good on the left side, especially when linking up with Dennis
Dennis - 6 - should have come on earlier
