Lets compare Ross to Steve and their records.
Davis
Played 22
Won 6
Drawn 5
Lost 11
Win percentage 27%
Embleton
Played 24
Won 6
Drawn 7
Lost 11
Win percentage 25%
Now just to throw in some light, Justin achieved a win rate of 55%
It's time to be realistic. Ross record is worse than Davis, it's been clear from the start that he is not equipped to handle the role and as he even said he does not want the job. The time has come to draw a line in the stand, find a new manager and appoint them given them full autonomy over all football matter relating to the first team. No more coaches running the show, it has not worked.
If the owners want to take this club forwards it's pretty clear what needs to be done, now it comes down to ambition and vision.

It might be clear to you fella but not the clowns making footballing decisions within the club.

What’s the significance of drawing a line in the “stand”, is this where fans aren’t allowed to cross or was this a typo.

Important to point out that we are in a harder division - but clearly Davis lost his job for that performance. So why are we persisting with an interim manager who doesn't want the job and isn't getting results? ML - please illuminate us fans...
T&T are you waiting for RE to miraculously turn into a great manager?
Wish for 2020 - much needed reinforcements and a manager who can lead us for the next 3 years or more

Dis, all the clowns left the club at the end of the Becche tti era. In general people will alway's make mistakes but I trust our board will get things right in the end . Their record since they took over from the clowns is a pretty good one , wouldn't you say ?

I completely agree with you that we need an experienced manager brought in but you could also argue with those stat's that Ross has done nearly as well as Davis did , who was an experienced manager. Also Ross achieved it at a higher level than the National League .

Until Ling goes and the owners allow a decent manager to come in with his own coaching staff we ain’t going no where!

The reason Davis was sacked, was because he had not won in 11 and that we were not competing well enough in games.
With Ross. I presume that the 3 games from taking over from Davis are included. So, he has taken over from 2 managers who have not been winning and has had to turn around. He also had a difficult start this year dealing with the grief and picking the players up.
In the 3 spells Ross has had very difficult tasks to deal with. I therefore think that the comparison is not comprable.
I do not know whether Ross will find his feet, but I do know that the team are fighting for him.

Know what you are saying Red and I agree to a certain extent. However, a clown is a clown, whether it by a malicious nature (Beelzebub = Pennywise) or an incompetent one (Martin Ling).

As long as we're safe from relegation I can't see the owners investing a penny in a new manager or players till next season

That would be a disgusting way to reward loyal supporters, if that’s the case I expect next years Season ticket sales to plummet.
I personally think that if the Manager situation is not addressed before the transfer window, supporters should boycott all home games until a New proven, experienced Manager at this level and above is brought in.

I didn’t renew my season ticket this year , only the second time I didn’t renew in 40 years .I have supported the O’s and attended all home games for the last 63 years barring the two years I didn’t renew my season ticket.
If I had renewed my season ticket this year I would have started boycotting matches as soon as it was obvious that Fletcher was the wrong choice and the club were not taking seriously bringing in a proven and experienced Manager.
I don’t think anyone in their right mind can not regard me as a loyal supporter, how many years have you been going regularly to Orient matches as a matter of interest ?

Even perhaps before that as it seems Travis is fairly confident Macclesfield won't make it to the end of the season

I didn’t renew after we won the league for a number of reasons, health being one of them along with inadequate replacements for Koroma and Bonne and not bringing in a proven experienced Manager at League 2 level and above, my record of attendance at the O’s for over 60 years is unchallengeable, how many years have you regularly attended O’s games for as a matter of interest ?

We're currently 9 points clear of the bottom club and I'll like to keep it that way . You can bet a weeks wages that all the clubs beneath us will be strengthening next month so we better as well otherwise we could quickly find ourselves in relegation trouble . I don't want us to be looking over our shoulder come the end of the season .

Apart from moderator whatshisname, does anyone on this board actually support Ling as DOF or Ross as manager anymore?
