Caveat these are based on watching the (excellent) stream but think it showed enough to make a judgement. 2pts dropped from a winning position. Very poor second half, as per usual a 45 minute performance from certain players.

Sargeant - 6 - did the basics well, no chance with the goal
Judd - 6 - decent enough performance but seemed to let his man go for the goal, need to see another angle though
Ekpiteta - 6 - plenty of blocks, a bit panicky at times
Turley - 7 - MOTM - best defender we have by far
Happe - 7 - put a few nice crosses in early and solid defence

Clay - 4 - can't keep up with the pace of L2 against top or bottom sides
Wright - 4 - slightly faster moving than Clay, powder puff tackles
Marsh - 4 - seemed to play 45 minutes then disappeared

Sotiriou - 6 - well taken goal, faded towards the end and a little naive at times but that'll improve with game time, which he deserves more of
JMD - 4 - I couldn't even remember to include him in the ratings until I counted 10 players, that's the impact he had today
Angol - 4 - not a target man, doesn't enjoy it, should've come off

Brophy - 4 - anonymous
Harrold - 5 - on too late to make much impact

Streaming service was great, our tactics at 0-1 up were poor and let Newport right back in the game. I guess given Ling likes to tell us we're no bigger or better than them we should be grateful to not lose to such a mighty side

Big investment in CM required in January. Will we get it, unlikely.

Lucky7 - 0 - didn’t beat me up. Suspect he wasn’t even at the game. Turns out his threats were nothing more than keyboard warrior sh*thousing. Am now convinced that his threats to beat me up at the next home game are the same. Guess the mods were right to dismiss him as nothing more than a QWERTY hardman

Posted on the other Ratings thread as well

A bloody awful game to watch against poor opposition who bossed us all game. Given we were playing a team who hadn't won since mid-October I can understand why Embleton decided to go with an extra body up front.

Whatever our tactics were went out the window after 90 seconds but why oh why did our midfield play so badly. They dropped deeper and deeper as the game went on and provided no protection to a defence who were stellar today. Wright & JMD were lightweight, Marsh had his introduction to winter L2 football and looked like a kid. Only Clay looked up for a battle but was a bit too literal giving free kicks away that caused us trouble. Angol didn't hold the ball up and Soteriou contributed nothing after his goal and should have been subbed at least 20 minutes earlier than he was.

I'm more frustrated after this game than I was after Boxing Day mainly because under the current manager we have found our level and it ain't pretty!

Just letting everyone know that if Lucky7 threatens them it amounts to nothing.

Just checking - does your mum know you are out after dark? If you don't have permission you are likely to get grounded.

I’m not the one threatening to do people in on the internet. But yes, my mum does know that I’m out. She called me at halftime.

Judd and Marvin 6s? Seriously.

The amount of pressure that back line was under was incredible. With no support from those in front of them. They all deserve 8s or more.

I’m not sure but I think it’s something to do with them being not very good, probably.

Judd seems to be a country mile away from the goalscorer so looks at first glance that he's switched off. Another angle might tell a different story though so that might go up by 1.

Against a fellow bottom tier side I'd struggle to give anyone an 8 if we don't win the game tbh.

Sarge 7
Judd 7
Ekpiteta 8
Turley 8
Happe 8
Clay 5
Marsh 4
Wright 5
JMD 5
Sotiriou 6
Angol 6

Brophy 5
Harrold 5

A very attritional game which we did well ti get a point from in the end. We're showing a lot more character at the moment which is why we've only lost 1 in 5, but we are lacking quality which is why we've only won 1 in 5.

We had very little in midfield today and were lucky that out defenders had such good games.

Turley was outstanding. Improvements from Ekpiteta and Judd- despite losing his man for the goal.

I think we have found our level as a lower mid-table side and will finish somewhere between 20th and 14th.

Judd isn’t aware the goal scorer was there, for sure.

But after being bombarded for literally the full 90 minutes, that will happen.

Having signed up for Orient TV to watch this, I was disappointed in the whole thing.
We certainly lack in every area don't we. The pitch was terrible which didn't help both sides but it looked like a Sunday league type level.

As or Orient TV....well, apart from the endless replays which result in missing so much open play, whoever is running this needs to work on this as it has certainly put me off paying per view again.

New year, new changes ahead (I hope!)…

Lol if you want posts exclusively about Orient then you’re on the wrong message board.

You might find the odd post about the O’s amongst the political mud slinging and general WUMing.

Poor Orient TV would not be a thing if they had not given Gilso the heave ho.

On the flip side I thought it was excellent. Stream quality was good, camera work for the most part on point and no buffering or lag. Registration was quick and easy, website nice and responsive no issues there.

Only minor gripes to improve upon would be the timing of the replays as per above and the main commentator getting the names of the players right (!) Thought the assistant commentators were on point and handled the lineups / formations / social media input well.

Would definitely use this again, not sure how many other EFL clubs are offering the same service but definitely feels like Orient have pushed things forward by doing it. Well done to those involved.

My Old Dad watched the game via the stream Today one of my Brothers set it up so he could watch it on the Tv via a HDMI cable from the laptop he said it was a clear picture good sound etc but he also said that they where doing replays while the initial game was going on so maybe it’s a small thing the club could look at

Big fan of Dave Victor and his oppo, the replays were ridiculous though. At one point the only way to watch a piece of action was to watch the replay as a previous replay was being played while the live action was taking place. By the end of the game my son was sick of me shouting "Noooooooooo" every time a replay came on as either team was attacking.

The second guy yes but not keen on Dave, doesn't seem to know who's on the pitch half the time, which isn't a great look for the main commentator

I spend quite a bit of time out of the country so have seen a fair few of these streams. Yesterday was the first time the replays have been over done like that. The early issues had all gone away, there had been nothin to moan about for quite some time. Hopefully they listen to the constructive criticism and stop these ridiculous in-game replays.
