Proper experienced Manager urgently needed.

Once again the fans are let down by unproven , inexperienced Manager at this level who is incapable of achieving success for our club.
For f*cks sake owners sort out this mess once and for all and bring in an experienced, proven Manager at this level with no caveats ona new Manager appointing his own backroom team.

Have to agree totally with original post and Mr B's. And the owners must know it...

I just can’t be arsed to pay and go and watch us any more after today. It’s just not worth it; it’s rubbish to watch and ultimately so frustrating. I should have stayed at home or gone to watch Dulwich for £8.

Why is this down to the head coach and not the players? Is it because it's easier for you to take cheap shots at him instead of critically assessing the quality and performance of the players?

Strange how you are the only one to disagree.

Yep.
You can’t leave a man in a job to make his mind up if he wants it or not. He either wants it 200% or let someone else do it.
We are just drifting and look aimless on the pitch. Certainly some new players needed with pace and a fresh new beginning in jan 2020 . It’s time for the next chapter of our club now after Justin. Tisdale would be a popular choice

I don't agree with you. Its one game man, you don't need to call for somebody's head everyone we don't get a result.

Today I don't think many managers could've done much better but overall Embleton isn't strong enough or experienced enough to address the issues in the squad. He's also under Ling's thumb, which is the root cause ultimately imo.
Will Embleton kick backsides to sort out the fitness issues, doubt it. Will he ruthlessly cull his friends from the squad, again doubt it.

He just sticks to the same midfield no matter how the play, even if they are on bookings and at a time you need to revolve the players during this busy period. Some of the players appear to be undropable. Ultimately, it will cost him his job. We will see if he has learned anything on Sunday, to see if he will freshen up this team. It's going to be a long season and Embleton looks more and more incapable of being the man at the helm.

Which other midfielders in the squad would be a significant upgrade? Centre mid is an embarrassment.

You can’t call for someone’s head when they don’t technically have the job.
And that in a nutshell is the problem.
Either appoint Ross as manager or hire somebody.
All this p*ssing about with interim job titles is ridiculous and has dragged on far longer than it should have done.
To not have a proper manager 6 months after Justin’s passing is pretty disgraceful for a professional football club. What is even more irritating is the complete lack of urgency.
The attitudes seem to be “we f*cked up with Fletcher...oh well, we’ll just let Ross do it until he’s had enough again”. Completely unprofessional and a p*ss take to all those who pay their good money to support the club. Even more stunning when one of our owners is a HR guru! I bet he wouldn’t run Dunkin’ Donuts like this.

Out of the current squad at our disposal, I would have Gorman in the starting line up. I know many on here will/may disagree. He needs game time. Perhaps he gas fallen out with Embleton. It's a joke to have him on the bench if he can't get on ahead of Clay or Wright or at least replace them when they are struggling, unable to do 90 mins, played a few days ago and are already on a booking. Funny, when Gorman was on a booking he usually would be the first man replaced no matter how he was playing. I would look at Hector also.

Gorman needs some time in the team just as a rocket up Clay's arse. Won't expect much better from him though.

This is a season of non-results.
The current situation is laughable.

Bar 1-2 games as part of a 3 man CM Gorman hasn't done the job either. To think we went up a league having not invested heavily in our weakest area is ridiculous.
Clay, Wright, Gorman, Marsh... all basically the same player trying to play in the same way.

The players as a squad are good enough of that I do believe. Justin also believed it. There is no way we would be where we are now if he was still at the helm, we would not roll over week after week. The hunger and desire is not there, the manager sets that standard and Embleton just ain’t got it I’m afraid.
Wright plays week after week yet he offers absolutely nothing, today he just jogs around, never won one tackle, no forward passes and was really poor overall. How does he stay in the side? Dayton offered nothing, yet the manager persisted, again it’s the managers call and on both he got it wrong. How many games is he going to get the big calls right?

Do you, in your wildest dreams, actually believe that. The simple fact is that this squad is nowhere near good enough.
It was just about adequate in the NL, but even then they fell over in the last few games, only to stumble over the line.
Also, are you taking into account that our nearest competitors for promotion also hit bad form on the run in. If any one of Salford,
Solihull or Fylde had kept their form going then they would have been promoted instead of us.
You say that you believe the squad is good enough, well we've gone up a division with a lot of dead wood, very little investment
and players that simply cannot adjust to the higher level. JE passed away before he had time to get the players he wanted,
and that has left us as a club in limbo. The whole place just screams out for a clearout and the installation of decent players
brought in by a decent manager and coaching staff.
