Its the same team as the last game, Brill is out injured with an hamstring strain and Janata has not been registered in time to play - what's that about? So no sub keeper. Ruel is added to the bench.

How many times do we need to call on a sub-goalie? A good number of teams in the NL last season never named a sub-goalie. I often think another outfield player would be a better option. Matt Harrold has gone in goal in an emergency in the past for other teams.

I never knew that about Harrold but funny enough posted elsewhere he'd probably do a fine Vinnie Jones impression if called upon lol.
If you're the Cambridge manager and have any sense of the dark arts you'd be telling players to batter Sargeant on corners and rough him up knowing there's no sub available.
You do have to question what goes on in training given the number of injuries we've picked up outside of games this season. Something isn't right with the fitness and conditioning, Fletcher was definitely right on that.
Otherwise good to see an unchanged XI, no sentimental nonsense starting Coulson after a clean sheet last time out.

No goalie on the bench means that we might see that most rare but joyous of occurrences... an outfield player putting on an oversized number 1 jersey and flapping at shots peppered from all angles.
An early Christmas present, I hope

I wonder if the club has put brill on extra fitness training cos with the greatest respect he was carrying extra timber as he missed most of pre season.

That's probably an extra reason why Matt Harrold is on the Bench today

Seems that we did not submit the required forms to the league on the change of status from loan back to the O's. Sounds pretty poor bit of admin from the club on this one.

Maguire drew great free kick in, knocked back by Marvin, turley reads it excellently and taps it in
