He probably cant be, but the masses want to hear something and he doesnt want to give information that will help the opposition.

Seems a bit strange that , in his own words , he expects “ some people to be intimidated by the scale of the the club ( Bradford) that’s coming”. Not sure why that would be and certainly doesn’t send out a particularly positive vibe!😟

That's right, said more in defence, I think. In other words if we lose, no big shock, as I did remind you all they are a big club
..... We badly need an experienced manager.

Sounds like he's prepping for another Swindon embarrassment again. Embleton seems highly skilled at motivating the opposition but not his own club & players.

Well, we are only little Leyton Orient so it's always going to be tough for us against big clubs like Bradford City.

I want a total different mental approach to interviews not just with him but the owners and DOF where I don't want sniggering swearing laughing - demeaning CF type comments etc etc but simple articulate comments that inspire to win matches
I agree. I’m sick of the way he keeps disparaging me

Ignoring the heavy sarcasm, both Bradfords languished for most of my life in the bottom division, in 1965/6 Bradford City required to be re-elected, probably not for the first time. The financial madness in which they were embroiled in the 1990s saw four £1M plus signings and a couple of heady years in the premiership. Then came the demise of ITV digital and that coincided with the end of the halcyon days. In my view, what they have now is the remnant fan base from their EPL days and, like ours after 1962/3, it will slowly fall back to a couple of thousand hardy souls and so City will have then returned to their erstwhile bottom feeder existence.

Looking at 1965/6 end of season 4th division (Now EFL2), a few are a currently up a bit, some are down a bit, but generally these are the clubs who live at the bottom of the football league and will mostly continue to do so. We were then in Division 2 but finished bottom - by a country mile.

Aren't Bradford only 'big' because they do £1 season tickets or something?
I remember them getting 3k attendances when they were at Valley Parade pre Premiership days..

We shouldn’t be intimidated by any club in our league , when we are at home. That’s making excuses for people .
What is happening with this managerial role ? Are the club just sitting back and hoping ? are they seeking candidates , it seems Ross has the club in his hands totally. If he wants the job he can have it, if he doesn’t then that’s fine, but he can’t even make up his mind if he wants to be a manager so we just wait ? The most peculiar situation . Surely we need experience and someone who knows they want it and can’t wait to show it. We all love Ross , but I feel We do need a new direction and leader .

Now we’ll win lol. (Hopefully)

I suppose the decision for Ross is that if he takes the role of manager (ignore the head coach bit) now and fails, he is gone, just like Davis and Fletcher. It's be impossible for him to step back again.

The flexibility of him keeping the interim role means it's simple enough for him to keep going back to the second in command role.

We all know that but I'm sick to my back teeth of it. Ross needs to make his mind up, sh*t or get off the pot. It's holding everyone back. Golden bollocks or what being able to choose whether he wants a job and is still indecisive about. I suppose all the Ling hype ain't done him any favours.

All this talk of Justin this, Justin that, grieving this and grieving that. I tell you what, someone do Justin a favour and take the bull by the horns and make some decisions just like he did when he came in.

UpminsterO wrote: Sat Dec 14, 2019 12:35 am For some decades we were a league 2 team now branded the championship and we had two Bradford teams both lower than us

Park avenue - they kept finishing bottom and were useless

City there were not much better

This whole thing about orient commencing with Hearn phrasing to keep us artificially restricted as he aquired the ground and planned everything for himself -to now where we have two great guys owning the club from abroad and with a very top heavy non playing staff and directors all reporting on stuff and RE holding it together under duress from ML direction gets me wondering what orient is really about

1.We could start improving the ethos / culture perception immediately by cutting the chase and putting an expierenced proven manager in place and let RE do his coaching.
2. Let the new guy manage totally without any frustration the first team - it is the performance of the first team that really drives the perception of Lofc in a positive way
Many good points in this comment especially ''and with a very top heavy non playing staff and directors all reporting on stuff'' !

This, the great irony of the club saying they're trying to keep Justin's memory and legacy going but every action they've taken since seems the complete opposite of how he did things. Decisive action, keeping it simple was what really stood out from the moment he took over.
