The above player was banned for 6 months last season due to a suspension for failing a drugs test for cocaine whilst playing for Forest. The ban was secret and the only reason it has come in to the public domain is due to the player leaking the information himself.
How can it be right that a player can fail a drugs test and everything around it is sealed in secrecy. Surely it is right that once the player has failed a test, been found guilty and a ban imposed then the public should be informed so as to be transparent and to show that the game will not tolerate drugs of any kind be they performance enhancing or recreational.

Orient full-back, Roger Stanislaus, was banned from football for 12 months in 1996 for doing the same thing.
Of course it shouldn`t have been kept as a secret and 6 weeks is bit of a joke.
