That’s what happens when you inherit the biggest crash in recent times. Too easy, or too convenient, to forget that.

I've liked the way the number of qualified teaching staff has consistently fallen at my children's school, seeing them replaced - sometimes - with TA's.

Who needs these university educated liberal lefties indoctrinating our young minds anyway.

Yes, I think he means the worldwide economic crisis from which we had started to recover until austerity was imposed in 2010.

I'm quite fond of house prices rocketing, even though as a homeowner it doesnt really make a difference to me, it does make me feel quite smug that I bought before they went mad. Recently, there were people queueing overnight days in advance at a new development near me. And you can walk down many streets and find people living in tents, hilarious!

Lying as the new norm. How boring it was when people said what they meant. It's so much more fun since the Tories introduced compulsory fibbing.

Oh, and thanks also for getting rid of those irritating police officers. There's so much more freedom to do anything you want now as you hardly ever see one. Combined with the Tories enthusiasm for the early release scheme it's made a real difference!

Where to start?

Making our country a laughing stock on the international stage? The constant strangulation of our public services? The rise in hate crimes? The rise in insecure work?

I liked the Bedroom Tax that they introduced with the help of that weirdo Jo Swinson. It lets the poor and disabled know they are entitled to the bare minimum living space.

I look forward to them selling us the air we breath.

The bombing of Syria in 2015/16 was a particular highlight of mine.

I, for one, have watched proudly as the disabled have been thrown to the wolves of ATOS and their ilk. There's nothing more heartwarming than an endless stream of suicides and preventable deaths because of the humiliation and cruelty of the benefits system. Watching that enormous albatross around the neck of our treasured wealth creators be cast off has been a real highlight. If you don't want to die in a ditch then you shouldn't be poor, its as simple as that. If you can't work because you've got a heart condition you've got no one to blame but yourself. If you're in constant pain and despair then you should learn to see the positives in it. You live in a free society where you have those kinds of freedoms. There have been some proper hell holes where the you'd have been forced to have access to medical care and support. Count your blessings!

I think the cuts to all emergency services have been a real hoot. If you're thick enough to live in a building that burns to the ground then that's on you really.

Also... the increase in homelessness has proven to be useful when I'm looking to dispose of my half eaten kebab. Rather than trying to find a bin I can simply give it to the nearest freezing cold and hungry sod I'm stepping over. Saves me some time and gives them some nourishment all in one go. A real win-win.

^ On reflection, I realise that the reference to a "half eaten kebab" renders my previous post entirely unbelievable.

I had to call the police recently after a tramp threatened to stab me, but no operators were available to pick up the phone. So hobo got away which means one less person in our overcrowded jails, although I guess they would have just let him out anyway. Time saved for all!

Do you mean that there's this topic and another about whether Corbyn watches the queen's speech or not?

The thought that until about 03.00 hours on 13/12/2019 ( that sounds ominous ), I will be in with a dog's chance of living out the rest of my days under a real Labour Government. Hoping the age of miracles has not yet passed, but having survived a cardiac arrest, I suppose it is a bit much hoping for two miracles.

I suspect the exit polls at 10.01pm on 12/12 may put us out of our misery.

Worldwide or not makes f*** all difference. The Tories inherited a sh*t of a position and needed to take drastic action. This is naff all to do with playing politics and everything to do with the reality of the situation.

People need to remember that.

Erm, it has everything to do with politics as the Tories politicised it. They still go on about inheriting the financial mess that "Labour created," despite it being conveniently acknowledged as a worldwide financial crisis when it suits them. I don't recall many of them objecting to Gordon Brown's intervention when the banks were hours away from failing. They were also unable to argue against Brown's economic management up until then, as he had effectively just continued where the Major government had left off (i.e. PFI etc).
