I think it’s fair to say the general consensus is that nobody gives a sh*t about this shambles of a competition.
But the question is, which did you give less of a sh*t about:
1. The Leasing.com trophy this season
Or
2. The FA trophy last season
Personally, I’d rank them equally. However I have more of a dislike for the leasing.com trophy because it’s a farce. Forcing lower league clubs to put their team up against the youth/reserve squads of premier league teams. Just takes the p*ss really. In the not so distant past Premier league clubs used to loan young players to lower league clubs to get experience. This is far less common. Nowadays premier league clubs just get to protect these players in u23 squads (do reserve teams even exist anymore?) and force lower league teams to play against them. The only ones who benefit in this set up at the PL teams as they get game time for their young/reserve players without having to loan them out to another club.
At least the FA trophy is a genuine and fair competition for non-league football. although why on earth they play the final in Wembley, which is massively oversized for the competition, is beyond me.

Good incentive for non league clubs to have a day out at Wembley and considering they have the FA Trophy and the FA Vase on the same day I think it’s a good thing

I see you point but even with over 20k Orient fans the place felt desolate.
Surely it would be a better day out to play in a stadium of more modest capacity (rather than 80,000)?

You could say that about majority of league 1/2 play off final games
Wembley is the home of football for England let it stay there
Do you have issues about Queens Park playing there home games at Hampden Park?

I've been to QP games at Hampden several times with about 500 of us rattling around in a quarter of one side - it's gloriously ludicrous and I wouldn't change it for a thing.
QP social club at Little Hampden is very nice.

Can’t say I’ve ever put much thought into the ground arrangements of Queens Park in the Scottish 3rd division

As a fan, playing at Wembley seems pointless and somewhere like the MK stadium might be a better venue. However, it's most likely every players dream to play at Wembley.

The way things are going we will be rattling around at Brisbane Road. The best thing at the moment is the SC bar.

This one is even more tinpot than the FA Trophy because of the disgrace of U23 sides being in the competition. Only good for giving some reserves and unfit players some minutes. Couldn't care less about the result.

I wanted to win the FA Trophy from the get-go. I could not give a sh*t about the Leasing.com Trophy.

Lost 4/2 on pens
The winless streak continues.
Almost as if not having a proper manager isn’t a good strategy for a professional football club....

What a surprise. This lot couldn’t win with all the tickets in a raffle.

Three points on Saturday and this will be forgotten.
Interesting to hear how Kyprianou and Soteriou did .

I’ll stick to whining about the team I support losing on the message board set up to talk about the team I support.
Funny that, ain’t it?

Not sure what kind of team they put out, but to draw with them over 90 mins when placed in the context of our bad run, manager sacking, multiple losses and them in the play offs a league above us, don’t seem to be bad to be honest.
At least we didn’t roll over.
