Well that's a surprise move by the FA however, well done to them for taking a common sense approach to this matter.
I'd also like to say well done to Ross and the words he used in that statement, it really captures what he is about as a person.

A sorry episode. Still think that throwing chewing gum at somebody, whatever the perceived provocation, is not a "manly" thing to do.

Didn’t think it would be necessary, but for the benefit of the hard of thinking I wasn’t sincerely suggesting that we vandalise the away section at FGR.
We should just chuck sausage rolls at their chairman instead.
Again, for the dense ones, that was a joke as well.

It's the kind of thing that backs up Ling's initial (correct) statement of Embleton being better suited as a #2 rather than trying to fit in the top job that doesn't suit.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2019 1:06 pm A sorry episode. Can imagine the conversations at the chairman level were pretty much:
Travis: 'My man said that your man said this'
Vince: 'My man said that he did not say it'.
It is a result that there seems to be no suspensions though, I thought an automatic suspension might be a deterrent for other managers in future.
I can't get Ross's last line, which seems to imply that he might lose his temper again at the same jibes. How else is he gonna 'defend' it?
It seems to me for now the word 'imposter' is quite a loaded one, but it is an insult that other coaches could use with impunity.
It might have been more productive for the club to state that the dugout area will now be covered by cameras and microphones (or even that coaches could wear a bodycam) to prevent such a situation from happening again.

He may well absolutely lose it again should a similar comment be made. He's defending his late friend and emotions can run high at such times.
