Yougov MRP who predicted the last election result have polled thousands of people and that have stated that the tories are on track for 359 seats up from 317. Labour polled 211 down from 262. Libs get 13 seats, Greens 1 seat, SNP 43 seats, Plaid 4 seats and others 1 seat.

Lies.

Data used from over a week ago. The similar one from 2017 was from data a week before the election not 3. The interesting poll was another one that came out an hour before showing the Tory lead narrowing to 7%

They should take another poll after steptoes latest car crash interview with Neil....You can see where Abbott gets her inspiration from now...More stumbling with the numbers.

The only poll that counts is the one on 12/12

Just watched breakfast tv where they were discussing this poll and its accuracy in the last election. They mentioned cummings thinks its alot closer than the polls suggest.

Re the car crash interveiw, I see that Boris has now bottled his turn in the hotseat. Gutless as well as a liar.

To be honest, this poll could be a bad thing for the Tories as it may lead to complacency amongst some prospective Tory voters who then don't bother to vote.

If next You Gov poll shows tory lead reducing, it could be taken by public as tories are collapsing like in 2017 and encourage Labour supporters. If next You Gove poll shows tories increasing or even maintaining this position, then the complacency issue arises.

It would have been better for Tories to show them getting a v small majority or largest party just short of majority in a hung parliament

Rather than gutless, it shows good management and good judgement not to put himself needlessly into a car crash situation as Corbyn foolishly did.

There is no requirement to be beaten up by Andrew Neill in a TV interview

Which highlights a strategic difference between the two main parties. Labour threw steptoe under the bus as he is a poor performer under scrutiny. Whereas if what spen says is correct, then it's a clever move from the tories as boris as has been pointed out on here many times a blusterer. He cant get pilloried if hes not be interviewed.

Kind of like why the shadow home secretary is missing in action throughout this election as she'd cause more damage than good. So a clever move from labour in that respect.

Re Abbott - she was speaking publicly yesterday about Labour’s policy to increase Violent Crime Units to help tackle gang related knife crime. You can find the info on the Labour website. Bottling this interview just sums up the tories approach to democracy and this whole election campaign. It's tragic.

Personally I think he should face him, I'm just making the point that you could argue the tories have strategically protected him from the potential fallout.

Slacker thanks for that, if she is speaking then you're right that media should be picking up on this especially as she is highlighting a major concern of society right now. She also has spoken up on this issue previously which she should be commended on.

He hasn't bottled out of an interview as one was never arranged.

To agree to an interview, then cancelling it is bottling it.

After seeing the result of AN interviewing JC, and sensible politician would want to avoid being interviewed by AN to avoid risk of another car crash.

Of course he should 'face him'.

Just as he should face the other leaders in the climate debate.

I understand why he's bottling these things (or has been advised to bottle them), I'm simply stating it's not the right way to go about an election campaign. A leader should be able to state his case and make his point in such interviews and debates.

The fact that the Dimwit electorate can't see through this is the issue here.
