That’s typical of Israelis they bring criminal charges against their prime minister over gifts and low level bribe accusations.
Compare that with the Palestinian leaders who have sorted away tens if not hundreds of millions and are revered by their people. Arafat being a prime example.

I was merely commenting about yet another high ranking Israeli
Politician being Jailed .
Katsav was sent down for Rape( president ), prime minister Olmut was sent down for breach of trust & bribery.
Seems like a long list of crime & corruption in Israel .

Netenyahu -Corruption. Does not make it right, but seems that most people be it high or low just cannot resist temptation when it comes to enriching themselves in one way or another by various dubious means, seems to be just part of human nature. Netenyahu's misdemeanor although very bad in many eyes, is very small compared to the massive amount of corruption of many leaders and top people throughout history. The list is endless, but just for starters Robert Mugabe and President Marcos come to mind as prime examples of men who started out with good intentions but were overcome by power and sheer greed.
