Car crash telly. Corbyn horribly scripted, Johnson bumbling as ever.

Corbyn easily sounding more earnest. Johnson squirming and answering nothing in his haste to remember what Dominic told him to say.

Round 1 over. Dominic, time to throw in the towel. Your pal is taking a hell of a beating and Brexit should have been his best topic.

Corbyn can’t even get his glasses to sit straight on his boat. It’s doing my head in! In all seriousness I have ocd over straight lines and it’s driving me mad!

Anyway I think Johnson edged the first half.

Scripted is ‘dither and delay’ , ‘oven ready Brexit’ etc.

Only one fella is coming out with that bow locks.

Yes. The fat w*nker will literally crumble as it goes on. Despite his bluster he's not a very confident person.

Johnson's doing OK by his incredibly low standards. Blundering sh*t, but aside from being put on the spot about his former colleague calling him a treacherous turd, he hasn't been made uncomfortable. Corbyn is what, 14 points behind in the polls, might as well go for Johnson's weak spot, which is he is a proven appalling human.

They're both completely unsuitable to lead our country. They can't answer basic questions, they're both plagued by issues of party prejudices, they've both reneged on their Brexit positions, they've done nothing for the past 3 years. Underneath the suit and glasses I would like someone to check if Corbyn is still alive though. He looks about 108.

Spot on character assessment.

Trying to perceive how a casual swing voter may have judged that, I'd also say they'd consider Johnson to have edged the first half.

Johnson still betting the house on Brexit being a significant factor in voter intentions, which I think is a gamble that could backfire.

Bradbury is a poor host, the show is too rushed, both people keep being cut short. They need a host with more gravitas and longer time to answer the questions and debate he points.

Spot on dunners. Brexit is a smokescreen. I think the labour vote may be more motivated.

Pleases to hear both say that social care will be in their manifestos and that old people will not have to sell their homes to fund it. Good policy.

Host is sh*t but Johnson is really showing himself up here. He's saying absolutely nothing of note and has lied several times.

Thor it's Julie Etchingham doing the moderating, she's not strong enough and I agree it's all too rushed.

Corbyn very strong on domestic issues and is able to speak in a manner that will resonate with many voters on a human level. If he can just avoid a f*** up he could win the second half.

She is doing well. What is she supposed to do - tell Johnson to shut the feck up?
