Proof of Identity

Whilst respecting everyone's right to anonymity on this board.....I can't help but wonder how many of the strange characters that frequent this MB are not genuine bona fide people in the real life. We are only a small club with a small fanbase. Everyone knows everyone. The chance of being a genuine fan and not knowing another fan are basically nil. Yet some oddball loners keep popping up out of nowhere and doing damage to this board.
I propose that as a verification process, everyone is required to nominate two other MBers who know you IRL and can vouch for your authenticity. Obviously without having to divulge your identity, if you don't wish.

After all these years I’ve still not knowingly met Caca, our new overlord.
Nor a fair few other boardin’ regulars I think I’d happily have a chinwag and beer with IRL.

I buy both each time. Funny enough I’ve just gone through all my programmes, orientear, panda, cheery o’s and my wife thinks I’m mad as they are all in order by season. She said Chuck them all away along with your car magazines, I told her I’ll chuck her out first!

I've spotted one major flaw, on your own admission, you rarely attend games these days.
I'd happily buy you a beer in the LOSC, get Timmo to point me out.

Just been a non-attendance blip this season: combination of nice other things to do (mostly travel) and not-so-nice-stuff (ill health), but I should be back in the saddle more regularly soon.
So, to scrounge my pint, I just go up to Timmo the SC Potman and ask him to point out, er, yo-yo-ee or maybe it’s yo-yoi. Lol. I reckon I’d have more chance of Timmo successfully directing me to the nearest The Thirsty Walkabout pub
