OUR FORMAT ON SATURDAY

What was it?!
I was really non-plussed on Saturday. I couldn't work out what we were actually trying to play (possibly football, but not any actual format). I don't think I've ever seen a game where we have passed back to the goalkeeper so much. The ball goes back to Brill who hoofs it up towards Harrold. That would be okay if Harrold won some of the headers but on Saturday he won hardly any, so why did we keep trying the same thing?
I know the players are not very good, but I would put this down to bad tactics. We need a new experienced manager as soon as possible, before we get drawn into a relegation fight. It's true that a new manager only has the players that are available, but at least someone who might be able to see that something isn't working and change it, would be good.

We were trying to get crosses in from wide to Harold.
Unfortunately we’re not very good at playing football. When several players are not confortable on the ball, or hiding, or whose first touch is alway negative and retreat backwards, you’re going to put undue pressure on the likes of Marv, Coulson and Happe - players that don’t hide - and force them into being the playmakers, which isn’t their forte. Hence the misplaced passes, or long balls, or pass backs to Brill, because others aren’t showing.
It wasn’t a deliberate ploy to pass back to Brill and for him to lump it, we were forced into it. And you’re right, he didn’t win a header all gameZ

Whilst you both have valid points, the fact that the coaching team had only 24 hours to turn the dressing room around was always going to be a difficult task. I hope that this week they can get back some stability, laughter and togetherness. Once they get that sorted then hopefully the work on the training pitch can bare some fruit.

Even with a full week with the players on the training ground I can't see us getting anything out of Forest Green. I think they are just too good for us . To have a decent chance we need both Angol and Wilkinson back and both starting.

Maybe so RD, but they have to make a start of it today and build it each day and continue building to get us to where we should be.
Patience is key here.

Yeah I read that in the Daily Mail.
