As per my previous post. You believe Fletcher was great and our players and back room staff were to blame

I dont know if he would be great or not, he wasnât allowed to do what he was being paid to do.
I would like to hear his take of the events.
When slade was here I asked Barry Hearn if he had an input into the selection or tactics and he replied that he, like everyone had his opinions but in his words, âI donât pay him a bloody fortune to do his job for himâ. Itâs a pity that having appointed fletcher he wasnât given the chance to manage as he saw fit.

So our guys were wrong. Thatâs what you are saying. No fault attached to Fletcher.

Doh nut, thatâs exactly what I am saying. In my view they were wrong appointing him in the first place, and they compounded it by once having appointed him they would not let him do what he was being paid to do.
He recognized that some players were not up to scratch, that there was a lack of intensity in their play and that fitness levels were not what they should be. This put everyoneâs nose out of joint because jolly old Leyton Orient is a family club and forget results , itâs about togetherness.
Having seen the question & answer episode now I wished I had taken the opportunity to have crossed from the supporters club and tried to have my say.

Yes to Ling or Travis.
Ask the players what CF said to them ?
Why would all there heads be down & not enjoying
There Football . If his training sessions were to technical
Then it is likely he told them all

From the videos on the q and a we will not be getting a manager this season, if at all. Ling wants embleton to do it, which cements his position and the core of internal stability is kept.
Ling was pretty defensive in his choice of words and body language. Webb and Jobi are not ready and in Saah we have apparently a star in the making, the apple cart will not be tipped over.

If this is the case this is the `uniqueness 'of the club that Travis is talking about. If so, then we're going nowhere.

I think that has been become very evident, without a proven experienced Manager the only place our club is going is back into the National league, what an insult to Justin's memory and to the fans.

The job is about football boys and man management. Going by what's been said previously, Fletcher alienated the coaching staff by having them contribute to the match day game and sought advice from teddy sheringham. If true, that's circumventing the idea that you don't bring in your own staff. Not on. That is the beginning of the decline in the relationship . If he doesn't believe that some are not good enough is fair enough, but how do you approach this question. Kent was shocked at how direct and brutal Fletcher was in his request for January. Not helping to comment a working relationship. Having said all of that I do believe that there is a danger of the staff, players and owners being too cosy to the detriment of the club. Relegation is a real possibility

Several issues here the first being he should never have got the job, he did, so taking it from there.
I have no doubt much of what he saw was not to his liking but the âshamblesâ as he may have seen it had just won three on the bounce, scoring 8 and conceding 1 and near the top of the current form table. The team was not in crisis and this is a vital point, but making progress, moving in the right direction. Drastic fast surgery was not needed. The way forward therefore is to engage with the players and the coaching staff, listen to them, work with them, then slowly introduce your own ideas NOT by ordering people or ignoring people but by bringing people round to your ways. Teamwork applies behind the scenes too. If you simply ignore the people who have been successfully contributing to the club for some time, Iâm here to tell you, that is a recipe for disaster and something any experienced manager in any business will tell you. Donât throw the baby out with the bath water.
That is one reason why we needed an experienced boss at this time. Iâm willing to bet is Fletcher gets another managerial job he will handle it better. Experience is a great teacher.
So itâs not what ideas he had but how he went about implementing them.
