A winger who likes to cut inside from the left and shoot judging by his YouTube highlights reel. Playing upfront because our squad is so light on quality and depth in that position.

To be fair most teams would struggle, if your 2 main strikers are not available (Angol only just back).

We had spells there today when we were on top but had nobody to finish off our chances . Not having Angol and Wilkinson has hurt us and that's why I reckon we we could do with another new striker in January .

Lovely watching him on the ball, two great feet.

But another luxury player we can ill afford. We’ve got about 5 of them.

Won't happen with Embleton in charge. It was him and Ling who brought Alabi back in as one of the 4 strikers. What a waste of a bench spot.

If you win the midfield battle and break quickly Dennis / Brophy / JMD will be really dangerous players for opposition to face. As it stands they look like a luxury as the CM is dominated every match. There's no consistency either as the formation keeps changing and you can't get that understanding with the defence.

Think of Cox and Daniels or even last season Widdowson and McAnuff. A pairing who knew when to cover, when to overlap and when to track back and stay solid.

Also while we're short of striking options who is attacking the balls in? JMD whipped some nice crosses in today but it's when Scunthorpe were parked behind the ball and they had more big lumps than us to clear.

Wingers can look luxury when the core of the side isn't performing and that's what we're seeing right now imo.

He is simply not up to league standard.

He had one good season in National League for Bromley, and that's about it.

Can't call him a winger when his first instinct when he gets the ball is to pass backwards.

Good post by someone who obviously knows something about football tactics.
This line, made me chuckle but sadly all too true........... ''Won't happen with Embleton in charge. It was him and Ling who brought Alabi back in as one of the 4 strikers. What a waste of a bench spot.''

Definitely not a striker, quite a few times he has good/reasonable chances and done nothing with them. He needs to be playing on the wing, saying that I'm not convinced with him for all his step-overs and dribbling, I think he is the definition of a player often described as "lively" but in actuality contributes very little consistently, probably score the odd goal of the month contender but won't offer much on a weekly basis, also needs to be far stronger when in possession

I agree he is quality and as for having 5 luxury players it don’t really matter if you’ve got the balance right in the side, unfortunately we don’t have that part right. If we can sort out the spine of the side the luxury side of things would rip this league a new backside, trouble is our spine is too soft.

Up and till he got smashed by the keeper he was the best player on the pitch by a country mile and looked like he was going to make a difference. Sadly that knock took too much out of him.

Looks to be a confidence player who drifts in and out of games depending on his mood.

We need better than that.
