I can’t recall a single incident where his intelligence, or lack of as you claim, has had an impact on his performance.
Let’s be honest - that display from Ling today was f*cking disgusting yet again. But I’ve no doubt he’ll still be playing next week. And we all know why.

Look at the difference in how much of the ball he had, compared to Happe on the opposite flank. That’s not because our instructions were to play down the left. It’s because Happe constantly shows for the ball. And he’s a centre half being played out of position.
Ling is a shirker.

He's better than Clogger Clay this season by a long shot.

What great challenge? Can’t remember him putting in a tackle of note all game.
The one decent bit of play from him in the entire 90 minutes was when he brought that overhit crossfield ball down with his head, was a great take. Shame he then crossed straight to the keepers arms.
No hatred of him, he’s just an awful footballer that can’t defend to save his life. If his dad wasn’t DOF, he would still be at Dagenham.

The move Scunthorpe started from their RB, hit a curled pass over the top / down the line. The striker held it up, runner made the overlap got to the byline and squared. Yeah my initial thought was Coulson as well but Lucky7 is pretty certain it was Ling. As much Sam gets stick when he gets stuff wrong got to give credit where it's due.
